In the aftermath of  The Avengers , Marvel launched its first MCU television venture with  Agents of SHIELD  starring Clark Gregg's Phil Coulson leading a new team of spies. Over the course of seven seasons, the ABC series dived into all corners of the comic book world between the Inhumans, Ghost Rider, time and space travel, as well as frequent crossovers to the latest MCU releases. When Marvel Studios took the lead on the MCU's TV projects as the focus shifted to Disney+,  Agents of SHIELD  was unfortunately forced to end after seven action-packed seasons. Up until recently, the series was streaming on Netflix domestically, but the MCU spin-off has finally made the move to Disney+ alongside "The Defenders Saga." While Marvel Studios is nearly ready to restart its Phase 4 slate, Disney+ is bringing its own exciting Marvel developments as well. Namely, the streaming service just added past Marvel TV shows such as Agents of SHIELD and all six shows that compromised the Defenders series that first debuted on Netflix. Naturally, this is cause for celebration on multiple levels. This move places every Marvel show that could possibly connect to the MCU in one location, all while Marvel Studios brings characters from these shows into the core MCU story. How that connectivity plays out in the future is still anybody's guess, but for now, the shows have their own special place on Disney+ alongside their counterparts from more recent entries in Phases 1-4. While the debate about canon and non-canon is still a rabid one, MCU fans recently became ecstatic over the recent new additions fo Disney+. Specifically, after being taken off Netflix, the first era of Marvel streaming TV will officially make its way onto Disney+ for the foreseeable future. This means that all seven seasons of Agents of SHIELD and all six shows in the Defenders series, including Daredevil , are coming to the streaming network on March 16, 2022. Agents of SHIELD helped start Marvel's venture into a larger expanded universe in 2013, including episodes that seemed to tie in directly with the events of the MCU starting in Phase 2. Way before Disney+ existed a little TV show called Agents of SHIELD forged its own path in the Marvel universe. The show first aired in 2013, a time when the presence of SHIELD in the MCU was really picking up after the events of The Avengers . Clark Gregg was the star of the series as Agent Phil Coulson, a familiar face from SHIELD in the Marvel movies, who was tasked with putting together a team of specialists to handle strange cases.  Over the years Agents of SHIELD went from being the cleanup crew for the MCU's leftovers to bringing in some of Marvel's biggest names and events, like dealing with the destruction of SHIELD from Captain America and the Winter Soldier and introducing Ghost Rider to the small screen. Marvel's  Agents of SHIELD  populated the 2010s with seven seasons of adventures for Clark Gregg's Phil Coulson and company. While the series   has yet to be integrated into proper Marvel Cinematic Universe canon, the network television series' cult following cannot be understated. Fans clamor for characters like Chloe Bennet's Daisy Johnson and Iain De Caestecker's Leo Fitz to make an MCU leap similar to Vincent D'Onofrio's Kingpin and Charlie Cox's Daredevil. If content or characters from the series are to make their way into the MCU, it will likely be in a legacy reprisal. There is precedence for this too, as JK Simmons got a second run as J. Jonah Jameson in  Spider-Man: No Way Home  completely distinct from the short-tempered Daily Bugle editor in Sam Raimi's  Spider-Man  trilogy.
