Veteran filmmaker James Gunn is doing double duty on the superhero side of things, with him working for both Marvel and DC. Gunn is spearheading John Cena's Peacemaker on HBO Max, a spin-off from  The Suicide Squad , as its executive producer, director, and writer, while he is busy filming scenes for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3  under the Marvel Studios banner.  At this stage, exact plot details of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 are still being kept under wraps, but Gunn already confirmed that it will be the last time that fans will see this current iteration of the team. Spider-Man: No Way Home  may have held down the popular conversation last year and going into this one, but it's almost time for someone else to take the lead:  The Batman . The Matt Reeves-directed movie sees Robert Pattinson take on the role of the Caped Crusader, as Gotham City starts to become terrorized by Paul Dano's The Riddler. The nearly three-hour-long film will be the first solo project for the Dark Knight since Christopher Nolan's  The Dark Knight Rises . The show that currently has everybody talking is HBO Max’s  Peacemaker  in the DCEU. Starring John Cena, the series sees his character after the events of  The Suicide Squad  getting scooped right back up and put into another team he doesn’t want to be a part of. However, this time, Chukwudi Iwuji’s Clemson Murn is leading the operations. Murn is a no-nonsense kind of guy—or, to be technical, a no-nonsense Butterfly. The man behind the team leader has done a fantastic job at embodying this new and engrossing character, who has no past in any DC Comics source material.
