While Marvel Studios is reveling in its continued Phase 4 efforts, it is hard not to look back at what has come before - specifically, in what ended the historic decade-long run that has come to be known as the Infinity Saga. The MCU has recently taken strides to improve its representation, with  Eternals  having showcased the first LGBTQIA+ relationship in the universe. This representation only looks set to grow with  Thor: Love and Thunder 's Valkyrie and  Black Panther: Wakanda Forever 's Okoye reportedly set to enter LGBTQIA+ relationships in the near future. As this happens in the MCU, Florida recently passed the controversial “Don’t Say Gay” bill into law that will ban public schools from mentioning gender identity or sexual orientation. With Disney housing much of its operations in the Sunshine State, employees and fans were expecting the family-focused organization to oppose the legislation. As Marvel Studios looks to kick off its 2022 content schedule in a couple of weeks with  Moon Knight,  its parent company, Disney, finds itself in a shroud of controversy. The Hollywood megalith has had accusations lobbied its way in regard to Florida's 'Don't' Say Gay' bill. Until recently Disney had remained silent on the matter of the prejudiced piece of lawmaking, and fans were not happy.  The 'Don't Say Gay' bill has made headlines in recent weeks all over the world, as Florida looks to remove any mention of gender identity or sexual orientation from public school. Following the end of the Infinity Saga with Avengers: Endgame in 2019, the MCU has had the opportunity to take more risks and gambles with its storytelling in theaters and on Disney+. This includes introducing the MCU's Multiverse for the first time, which made a profound impact on projects like Loki and Spider-Man: No Way Home - and that's only the start. Now that the MCU is going into its second full year of content in Phase 4, it's becoming clear that the Multiverse will play a major role in the overarching story for the foreseeable future. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will ensure that as the first theatrical release of year, fully utilizing its title as alternate realities are explored more than in any MCU movie ever made. Ryan Reynolds remains one of the most popular stars in Hollywood, largely thanks to his run as the beloved Merc With a Mouth, Deadpool. Following Marvel Studios' acquisition of 20th Century Fox in 2019, Reynolds will have the opportunity to bring Wade Wilson into play alongside Earth's Mightiest Heroes and his fellow X-Men. In the weeks following its debut on Disney+, Marvel Studios' Eternals continues to be a source of chatter surrounding the MCU's future. Not only did it set up a cosmic storyline with nearly a dozen immensely powerful immortal beings, but it also introduced a future power player waiting in the wings in Kit Harington's Dane Whitman. Harington took his star power built from his run on Game of Thrones into  Eternals , although he only saw minimal screentime in his first time playing Dane Whitman. However, looking at his character's progression in the comics, he winds up turning into quite the powerful hero himself when he takes on the Black Knight persona. Charlie Cox made an immediate impact in his arrival to Marvel Studios' MCU with his short but sweet appearance in 2021's Spider-Man: No Way Home . Following a successful three-year run leading the Netflix-housed Daredevil series, Cox's Matt Murdock finally made his first appearance in an MCU movie as he got to reprise his highly-celebrated Marvel role. Before No Way Home 's release, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige confirmed that Cox would come back into play for the franchise, hinting at the excitement that would soon come. That first true appearance in No Way Home may have only used about 70 seconds of screen time, but it was enough to send the MCU fandom into a frenzy over his comeback.
