Marvel Rumor Teases Chris Hemsworth's Future After Thor: Love and Thunder

Image
Thor: Love and Thunder is setting records and making MCU history ahead of its July release, which goes far beyond it being the first time an MCU solo hero has gotten a fourth film. Its debut trailer dropped just 82 days before the film’s release (a historically short marketing window), and it managed to bring in the fourth-most views ever for a trailer released online.  Along with  Love and Thunder's ground-breaking moment as a fourth solo movie, it will also break barriers and set new standards for representation in comic book films. Tessa Thompson will represent the LGBTQ+ community as King Valkyrie and Natalie Portman‘s Jane Foster becomes the new Thor in the MCU during her first starring MCU role in nine years. ADVERTISEMENT To many, Jane lifting Mjolnir looks like Marvel’s way of phasing Chris Hemsworth‘s God of Thunder out of the Avengers roster. This, combined with the movie’s main villain being Gorr the God Butcher, has many fans questionin...

Endgame Star Speaks Out on Thanos' Future In the MCU

Image
While Marvel Studios is reveling in its continued Phase 4 efforts, it is hard not to look back at what has come before - specifically, in what ended the historic decade-long run that has come to be known as the Infinity Saga. The groundbreaking collection of 23 films runs all the way from 2008's Iron Man  to 2019's  Spider-Man: Far From Home , with the pair of  Avengers: Infinity War  and  Endgame  serving as the culmination of these ten years of filmmaking.  At the center of those two  Avengers  films was the Mad Titan Thanos. Thanos had been teased as far back as 2012's  The   Avengers , but Brolin did not jump into the role until 2014's Guardians of the Galaxy .  ADVERTISEMENT Much of the Infinity Saga was spent checking in with Brolin's big purple baddie as he got closer and closer to collecting the Infinity Stones and then ultimately wiping out half the universe in  Avengers: Infinity War .  Now, the Avengers did do away with Th...

James Gunn Addresses His Future With Marvel After Guardians of the Galaxy 3

Image
James Gunn has had quite the last few years. The filmmaker started out in the superhero genre with  Guardians of the Galaxy  and its sequel, projects which transformed obscure names into extremely popular characters. But then came the bump in the road: Gunn was fired from Marvel Studios thanks to a Twitter scandal; many thought that was going to be the end of his career. Thankfully, that wasn't the case. Not only did Disney eventually see the light, but Gunn was also able to create The Suicide Squad  because of it—a project which led to him creating one of the most popular shows of this year in John Cena's  Peacemaker . ADVERTISEMENT Next on his plate will be 2023's  Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 , marking his return to Marvel. Gunn has mentioned on multiple occasions that this outing, alongside  The Holiday Special , was going to be his last rodeo with the space-faring misfits. But are there any other characters from either Marvel or DC he...

Morbius 2? Marvel Actress Teases Exciting Future In Spider-Man Universe

Image
Morbius  has hit theaters worldwide and quickly became the butt of plenty of jokes at the film's expense. The movie continues a disappointing trend of Sony Spider-Man-adjacent films without including the webhead himself. Expect this time, Sony's efforts are not proving profitable at the box office like the past two  Venom  films. This has left the Jared Leto-led flick in a hard spot. With  Venom,  Sony was almost forced to make a sequel, as the project made a billion dollars. At least early on, that does not look to be the case with  Morbius .  ADVERTISEMENT Sony seems to have extensive plans in its Spider-Man Universe with a  Kraven  and  Madame Web  film on the way. Also,  Morbius itself starts to lay the building blocks for a Sinister Six film.  So will this blood-sucking blockbuster get a sequel, or will this be the last fans see of Jared Leto's vampiric villain? Well, one of the movie's stars addressed the potential of a  Morbius   ...

The band of misfits is set to pop up next in the upcoming Thor: Love and Thunder film, followed by Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special and Vol. 3 . With all the appearances that the group has had over the last few years, there is no doubt the gang is good friends off the screen. Disney+ Reveals Promising Update for Deadpool and MCU's R-Rated Future

Image

The pandemic would put those plans on pause, but once 2021 rolled around, the Marvel Cinematic Universe would dominate social conversation for the full calendar year. The Marvel Studios threequel has more than enough moments to keep fans talking for a long time, which is exactly what's happening more than two months after its release.
