Fans are mere weeks away from sitting down in theaters and taking in the MCU's first new film of 2022.  Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness  is looming close on the horizon, after the multiple delays, a new director, and working through a worldwide pandemic. The  Doctor Strange  sequel will dive into the Multiverse as Benedict Cumberbatch's Stephen Strange is forced to break the very seams of reality in order to save it.  Despite being a little over a month away, the project is still shrouded in a thick fog of mystery. One of the many keys to the MCU's success is Marvel Studios' willingness to take risks. Even though certain members of the Hollywood Elite have described Marvel's superhero films as "cut and paste," the MCU continues to experiment with new genres, styles, and creators; and when it comes to Disney+, no one series has looked or felt like the other. That tradition of distinctive risk looks to continue with Marvel's first series for 2022, Moon Knight . In Moon Knight , Oscar Isaac plays mercenary Marc Spector, who suffers from a dissociative identity disorder. His multiple identities, including that of Mr. Knight and Steven Grant, happen to have mysterious connections to ancient Egyptian gods. Sony's Spider-Man Universe is set to receive another installment with 2022's Morbius . Set in the same world as both of the studios' Venom movies,  Morbius  stars Jared Leto as Dr. Michael Morbius, an ailing man who attempts to cure his own rare blood disease but ends up transforming himself into a living vampire. This process imbues Morbius with the superhuman abilities normally associated with nightwalkers themselves. The film has been a particularly long time coming, even more so than most in recent years. Production wrapped on the Spider-Man spinoff all the way back in Summer 2019 but was continually delayed by complications due to the pandemic. In fact,  Morbius  was ready to hit theaters during the month of January 2022 but has now landed squarely on April 1 as its final release date for much of the globe.
