In summer 2021, Marvel Studios' Loki became the first Disney+ series within the Marvel Cinematic Universe to be confirmed for a second full season after Season 1 came to an end. Tom Hiddleston took his God of Mischief into a chaotic adventure from start to finish in his first solo project, and even after more than a decade of service, he's far from finished with the role. In keeping with the comics, Marvel Studios' Moon Knight on Disney+ hasn't shied away from highlighting the character of Marc Spector's struggle with Dissociative Identity Disorder. In addition to serving as the avatar of the Egyptian mood god, Khonshu, Spector's other personality is that of Steven Grant; and from what fans have seen, the two are likely to discover a third personality before the show concludes. Thor: Love and Thunder is setting records and making MCU history ahead of its July release, which goes far beyond it being the first time an MCU solo hero has gotten a fourth film. After much anticipation, the teaser for Chris Hemsworth’s Thor: Love and Thunder is finally here. The footage showed off Thor in his new duds, the Guardians back in action, Jane Foster’s Thor, and King Valkyrie. There was one big missing element, however: Christian Bale’s Gorr the God Butcher. The big bad of the movie was nowhere to be found, nor any antagonist at all. Some of his handiwork may have made it in, but the Necrosword-wielding foe didn’t even lend as much as a line of dialogue to the trailer. The only proper look that the fans have gotten of the villain to this day comes from some older set photos and newer glimpses of Love and Thunder  merchandise. Avengers: Endgame  served as the culmination of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Infinity Saga while also featuring surprising returns. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever  is shaping up to be one of the most crucial installments of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Phase 4. Not only will the film pay tribute to the late Chadwick Boseman and pass his superhero mantle to a to-be-determined successor, but it also represents the debuts of two major MCU players. After the Multiversal chaos of  Spider-Man: No Way Home , the MCU will finally return to screens this month with Oscar Issac's  Moon Knight . The Disney+ series will offer viewers a deep exploration of Steven Grant's mental health struggles and multiple personalities with plenty of brutal violence on the way as he becomes the Fist of Vengeance. With Moon Knight being known by many as one of Marvel's most mature heroes, the decision to keep his series rated PG-13 was a controversial one. The family-friendly age rating has been a staple of the MCU since the beginning, but many believed Moon Knight  should be the first to cross the boundary into an R-rating to depict his violent nature and adult themes in a more adult way. While Daredevil and the rest of the former Netflix Marvel shows will be debuting on Disney+ on March 16, it isn't a guarantee that Marvel Studios will continue those shows or remain within continuity with the rest of the MCU. Even actor Charlie Cox is doubtful that if Daredevil were to return, it would continue directly after its last season. Ever since Cox made his return as Matthew Murdock in Spider-Man: No Way Home , the actor has had multiple ideas about the character when he appears again. After a tedious and painful wait,  The Batman  has finally hit theaters worldwide. Matt Reeves took the Caped Crusader and crafted an entirely new Gotham for the hero to defend. This time, Robert Pattinson is under the cowl, alongside Zoe Kravitz's Catwoman The two go up against Paul Dano's reign of terror as The Riddler as he seeks to get rid of corruption in Gotham City. While Riddler is the main focus, Colin Ferrell's The Penguin and John Turturro's Carmine Falcone control the city's criminal underbelly. Due to  Black Widow and then Hawkeye on Disney+, at this point in the MCU, every original Avenger star has received their own project with only one exception: the Hulk's Mark Ruffalo. On the heels of 2008's Iron Man , Marvel Studios released The Incredible Hulk ; however, in that origin film, Bruce Banner was played by Edward Norton, not Ruffalo. While a future Hulk film starring Mark Ruffalo is highly unlikely, it sounds like the actor will get considerable screentime in Marvel's upcoming She-Hulk series for Disney+. It’s sometimes easy to forget how there are Marvel films outside the MCU banner. Upon the completion of Marvel's Infinity Saga, it seemed that the Multiverse was the MCU's next big threat, affecting characters from Loki to Wanda Maximoff to Peter Parker and Doctor Strange. While that appears to be true, one of Marvel's latest Phase 4 films, Eternals , didn't seem to contribute to the greater MCU or the current phase's overarching story at all. The Marvel Cinematic Universe's Gamora: Daughter of Thanos, sister of Nebula and founding member of the Guardians of the Galaxy. Indeed, Gamora's path through the MCU has been an eventful one. First introduced in 2014's  Guardians of the Galaxy , the character's arc is set to come to its conclusion in 2023's Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3,  currently in production with James Gunn at the helm. Despite Marvel Studios' penchant for playing with genres, there is one constant within the MCU: interconnectivity. Every character and storyline somehow has - or eventually will - affect the other; and as the MCU expands through series on Disney+, so do those opportunities. The Guardians of the Galaxy are in for an extended run of prominence over the next couple of years both in theaters and on Disney+, featuring everyone from Chris Pratt's Star-Lord to Vin Diesel's Groot. Diesel, in particular, has a busy schedule for Phase 4, as he will likely have as many as four new credits under his belt as Groot within the next year and a half.
