The MCU has always been a PG-13 fun for all the family franchise, on the big screen at least. With TV series such as  Daredevil  and  Agents of SHIELD  having taken the MCU outside its comfort zone into violent and mature content, fans have become increasingly enamored with bringing R-ratings to the universe, and  Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness  is no exception. Ever since its announcement, the Multiverse-hopping sequel has been promised to be the MCU's first horror film, and the trailers have certainly lived up to that. Tobey Maguire's  Spider-Man  director Sam Raimi is on board to direct which couldn't be more fitting given his history with both superhero and horror genres. Next up on Marvel Studios’ slate is the upcoming Disney+ series, Moon Knight . The project will see Oscar Isaac’s Steven Grant struggle with Dissociative Identity Disorder as he comes to believe that he has been granted powers by the Egyptian God of the Moon, Khonshu. Grant then has to contend with figuring out what is real, and what isn’t. The creatives behind the show have teased its mind-bending qualities, and how it won’t shy away from being as dark as necessary. On top of that, for those who may worry about how it will portray mental health, the star behind the titular character has spoken up for how their story goes about telling the story of Steven Grant, Marc Spector, and Mr. Knight. Despite all the chaos and surprises that Spider-Man: No Way Home  delivered, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness  looks to be Marvel Studios' biggest venture since the record-breaking  Avengers: Endgame.  With both Benedict Cumberbatch's titular sorcerer and Elizabeth Olsen's Scarlet Witch coming back, the heroic cast was already looking stacked.
