Spider-Man: No Way Home  just wrapped up the most successful theatrical run since  Avengers: Endgame , a true testament to just how high excitement was for the threequel. The long-awaited return of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield, as well as five of their classic villains, sent three generations of Marvel fans flocking to theaters, many multiple times. As the movie finally gets its digital and physical home release,  No Way Home  currently sits at a box office total of $1.89 billion, the sixth-highest in history. Sony is rapidly looking to expand on its cinematic Spider-Man Universe, particularly after the disappointing reaction to the studio's most recent film, Morbius . On top of Aaron Taylor-Johnson's Kraven the Hunter and potentially Tom Hardy's Venom 3 , Dakota Johnson will also bring a new outing in Madame Web . November's  Black Panther: Wakanda Forever  brings the Marvel Cinematic Universe back to T'Challa's home country for the first time in over three years. While the sequel will move forward without its king,  Black Panther 2  promises to be both a tribute to the late Chadwick Boseman and a critical introduction to two major MCU players. Aside from the debuts of Namor and Ironheart, Wakanda Forever  will bring back most of the ensemble from 2018's  Black Panther . Supporting stars like Letitia Wright and Winston Duke are returning in a big way, while Danai Gurira could see the sequel as a set-up for a solo series. Variety initially reported in early 2020 that Rachel McAdams would not be reprising her role as Christine Palmer in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness . However, several months later, Deadline confirmed that previous reports of McAdams' exclusion were incorrect and that she'd join the  Doctor Strange sequel's cast after all, although it was unknown how significant her role would be. More information about McAdams' role was revealed during post-production, and producer Richie Palmer confirmed that Palmer and Strange " are not back together"  in the sequel. Ahead of the theatrical release of Jared Leto's Morbius , and on the heels of Spider-Man: No Way Home , Sony has announced its next live-action film for its ever-expanding Spider-Verse: Kraven the Hunter . This Spidey villain is one that fans have wanted to see for some time; and for the title role, Sony went with a comic book film veteran in Aaron Taylor-Johnson.  In addition to his role in Kick-Ass , Aaron Taylor-Johnson's last Marvel role was as Wanda Maximoff's brother, Pietro/Quicksilver, in Marvel Studios' Avengers: Age of Ultron . Interestingly enough, Pietro served as a threat to the Avengers for a considerable part of that film.
