The God of Thunder has returned! After weeks of anticipation from fans, the first teaser for Thor: Love and Thunder has finally arrived. Due to the return of Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi, as well as the film's title, there was little doubt that Thor 4 would be a wild ride. Right in the heart Phase 3 from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, ABC and Marvel Television brought their third team-up effort to the small screen with the eight-episode Inhumans series. Although both Agents of SHIELD and Agent Carter earned plenty of positive response from fans and critics before Inhumans , this series became one of Marvel's biggest flops and was canceled after only one season. Despite having come out nearly four months ago Spider-Man: No Way Home  is still top of mind for many comic book movie fans. The web-slinging epic honored the character's nearly 20-year big-screen history, while also setting up what is to come for Tom Holland's webhead in the future. While Marvel Studios has plenty of exciting material to look forward to in the near future, fans have recently looked back to an earlier project in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier . This show returns to prominence due to a strange change in footage that recently went live on Disney+, one which comes alongside recent discussions about censorship from Disney as a whole. Moon Knight  is set to take center stage as the next MCU project on Disney+. As a result, the upcoming Marvel series has been bombarded by rumors in the past weeks, one of them being a potential Avenger sighting in the form of Mark Ruffalo's Hulk. The Green Goliath's rumored inclusion has made headlines ever since a photo of Ruffalo and Oscar Isaac in Budapest made rounds on social media during the show's production. Ruffalo previously addressed the aforementioned photo, saying that  he has  "learned the hard way"  when it comes to spoiling things. Morbius  is the next villain-turned-anti-hero who will debut on the big screen as part of Sony's Marvel universe. The upcoming movie will feature Jared Leto as the titular living vampire, a character who is a Spider-Man villain in the comics but is being shown as a hero in the project similar to Tom Hardy's Venom. While it is unknown where Morbius fits in the vast Spider-Verse, the film is expected to shed some light on Sony's plan for its Marvel characters. In the past two years, Morbius had its fair share of delays, mostly due to the pandemic. Recently, the film was delayed amidst the theatrical run of  Spider-Man: No Way Home. Included in that mix is Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool 3 , the MCU's first confirmed R-Rated project centered around the fan-favorite Merc with a Mouth. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is the next film on Marvel Studios’ slate, and it’s set to bring Benedict Cumberbatch back into the titular role as he tries to keep all reality from breaking apart. When the MCU kicked off in 2008, Marvel Studios was limited as to what characters they could use and what could be referenced. Over the years prior, Marvel had sold off the film rights to many of its biggest names including Wolverine and Spider-Man. Just like Thanos, Disney has since reassembled its Infinity Gauntlet of Marvel licenses between acquiring Fox and a mutually beneficial deal with Sony. Marvel fans have an impressive number of projects to look forward to in 2022 and beyond. In addition to Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and its limitless potential for cameos, the MCU is also set to receive Thor: Love and Thunder , Black Panther: Wakanda Forever , as well as She-Hulk and Secret Invasion on Disney+. Ghost Rider is one of those names that feels like an inevitability for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The character has appeared in two of his own movies with veteran actor Nicolas Cage taking on the role; Johnny Blaze even appeared in  Agents of Shield  as a recurring character. Headlines were recently made that all the former Netflix Marvel shows would be leaving the Big N permanently and arriving at a new residence, Disney+, on March 16. This includes the likes of Daredevil , Jessica Jones , Luke Cage , Iron Fist , The Defenders , and The Punisher . Needless to say, fans were equally excited and surprised. For one, it’s exciting to have all of these characters under the same streaming umbrella—even if their general MCU canonicity is still up for debate. Now that Disney's acquisition of 20th Century Fox is complete, Marvel fans are highly anticipating the Marvel Cinematic Universe debut of the X-Men. Before the premiere of Hawkeye on Disney+, advertising for the show was going into overdrive, but much of it looked strikingly familiar to artwork directly from the comics. It was then discovered that the original artist, David Aja, was not being paid for the marketing using his designs to promote the series. Similarly,  Moon Knight could be facing another, albeit smaller, backlash from fans. While Marvel Studios is confirmed to be developing plenty of new characters for the MCU like the Fantastic Four and the X-Men, there are other major players that are still up in the air. Some of these come from Marvel's more supernatural properties. This is partially being rectified with upcoming heroes like Mahershala Ali's Blade; although, others like the fiery Ghost Rider remain waiting in the wings.  Ghost Rider, specifically, has had quite a rocky history with Marvel properties over the past 20 years.
