Martin Freeman Returning for Disney+ Secret Invasion Marvel During an on-stage  talk  titled  Samuel L. Jackson In Conversation With Josh Horowitz  on Thursday, March 10 in New York City, actor Samuel L. Jackson let a surprise tidbit slip while discussing the amazing cast of the new Marvel Studios show  Secret Invasion .  After Josh Horowitz, the event's host, listed names such as Oliva Colman and Emilia Clarke cast in the upcoming thriller Marvel series, Jackson jumped in to add Martin Freeman's name to the list. Previously, Freeman had not been confirmed for the Marvel Disney+ series. Secret Invasion  was one of the many surprise Disney+ series that Marvel Studios announced back in 2020. Since its announcement, however, there hasn't been much word about the show. Fans know that Samuel L. Jackson's Nick Fury will be back, alongside Cobie Smulders' Maria Hill and Ben Mendelsohn's Talos. But what exactly will they be facing? Secret Invasion  is set to release on Disney+ sometime in 2022 and change the entire MCU. The series will follow Samuel L. Jackson and Cobie Smulders as Nick Fury and Agent Maria Hill, respectively, as the fandom experiences an invasion from the Skrulls.
