In keeping with the comics, Marvel Studios' Moon Knight on Disney+ hasn't shied away from highlighting the character of Marc Spector's struggle with Dissociative Identity Disorder. In addition to serving as the avatar of the Egyptian mood god, Khonshu, Spector's other personality is that of Steven Grant; and from what fans have seen, the two are likely to discover a third personality before the show concludes. Although companies like Marvel Studios and Warner Bros. are looking to make their mark in 2022, the year is filled with highly-anticipated blockbusters across the industry.  Included in that mix is James Cameron's Avatar 2 , a movie that’s been almost a generation in the making. This otherworldly sci-fi epic has faced delays unlike those of any other major movie, but it’s finally on the horizon. In 2010, the first Avatar  film became the highest-grossing movie ever at the historical box office much in thanks to its one-of-a-kind visual effects. Its biggest competition came with 2019’s Avengers: Endgame from the MCU, which came out on top for a short time before Avatar  was re-released in theaters and retook its box office title. 2021 proved the Marvel Cinematic Universe is just getting started. Avengers: Endgame  bow-tied the decade-long Infinity Saga in 2019, but planted plenty of less-than-subtle seeds for where the franchise's fan-favorites would venture come Phase 4. The first year of Marvel Studios' fourth phase picked up where  Endgame  immediately left off, spotlighting previously supporting characters like Elizabeth Olsen's Wanda Maximoff and Anthony Mackie's Sam Wilson in their own solo shows on Disney+. On the big screen, the MCU debuted a duo of rookie IPs with  Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings  and Chloe Zhao's  Eternals . The Guardians of the Galaxy are in for an extended run of prominence over the next couple of years both in theaters and on Disney+, featuring everyone from Chris Pratt's Star-Lord to Vin Diesel's Groot. Diesel, in particular, has a busy schedule for Phase 4, as he will likely have as many as four new credits under his belt as Groot within the next year and a half. Audiences last saw the fan-favorite humanoid plant flying off Earth with the Guardians and Thor on the Benetar after defeating Thanos at the decimated Avengers Compound on Earth in Avengers: Endgame . While Groot's specific journey with the team in Phase 4 is a mystery, there will be no shortage of fun and snarkiness coming from the adolescent alien as he grows further into adulthood.
