Marvel Fan Spots Possible Eternals Connection In New Doctor Strange 2 Trailer

Image
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness  is set to be a sequel that reaches far beyond Benedict Cumberbatch's franchise. Marvel Studios' May release will also address the plot of Elizabeth Olsen's  WandaVision , and rumblings of  Loki  ties have been active since the God of Mischief broke the Sacred Timeline last summer. The presence of Benedict Wong's Wong also links his 2021 Marvel appearances,  Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings  and  Spider-Man: No Way Home , to  Doctor Strange 2 .  Out of all the Phase 4 projects fans have seen so far, the only one without a clear path moving forward is Chloe Zhao's  Eternals . ADVERTISEMENT The immortal ensemble was a game changer, but its placement in the greater Marvel Cinematic Universe remains unknown. With half the roster killed off and the active members splitting up, the futures of Sersi and company are still in question. Some have been brought before Arishem for judgement, whi...

Marvel Fan Spots Doctor Strange 2 Trailer Easter Egg That We All Missed

Image
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness  is poised to be the  Avengers -lite crossover event of Phase 4. Just as  Captain America: Civil War  and  Thor: Ragnarok  united heroes from across the Marvel Cinematic Universe in a solo sequel,  Multiverse of Madness  will bring together Benedict Cumberbatch's Stephen Strange and Elizabeth Olsen's Wanda Maximoff, as well as limitless Variants of both current and legacy Marvel characters. Since Doctor Strange 2  began its marketing campaign in the post-credits scene of  Spider-Man: No Way Home , most of the film's secrets have been kept close to the vest. The second trailer revealed the return of Patrick Stewart's Professor X in an off-screen vocal cue, as well as the mysterious introduction of an energy-emblazed hero.  ADVERTISEMENT While the two aforementioned reveals were blatantly showcased,  Multiverse of Madness  has plenty of hidden Easter eggs throughout its promotional material.  Doc...

Marvel Fan Breaks Guinness World Record Watching Spider-Man: No Way Home

Spider-Man: No Way Home  just wrapped up the most successful theatrical run since  Avengers: Endgame , a true testament to just how high excitement was for the threequel. The long-awaited return of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield, as well as five of their classic villains, sent three generations of Marvel fans flocking to theaters, many multiple times. As the movie finally gets its digital and physical home release,  No Way Home  currently sits at a box office total of $1.89 billion, the sixth-highest in history. The theatrical run even maintained success for so long that it led Sony to delay its latest Marvel flick,  Morbius . ADVERTISEMENT Now that the Multiverse event is finally available for home viewing, many moviegoers will be sitting down for only their second viewing. But that isn't the case for one dedicated Spider-Fan, who just broke the world record for the most theatrical viewings of a movie. Do You Think You're a Spider-Man Fan? T...

Marvel Fan Spots Creepy Face In Doctor Strange 2 Trailer: Who Is It?

Image
With Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness  right around the corner, fans have been treated to plenty of trailers and TV spots, but that's just the tip of the iceberg. Just a month out from its global release, moviegoers still have no idea what the film is about, who's going to show up, or even what Multiversal threat is in front of Doctor Strange. Since Elizabeth Olsen's Scarlet Witch took herself down a dark path in  WandaVision , the former Avenger has been heavily hinted to have an antagonistic presence in the film. But with Marvel Studios eager to maintain the secrets of  Multiverse of Madness , many believe there may be a deeper evil behind it all. ADVERTISEMENT While the exact identity of that mysterious presence does remain a mystery, the latest trailer for Doctor Strange 2  has hinted at a scary face behind it all. No Way Home Fan Edit Puts Tobey & Andrew In Final Swing

Image
Spider-Man: No Way Home remains one of the biggest blockbuster movies on the planet, even more than three months after its theatrical debut. Thanks to elements and characters from Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield's worlds joining the MCU through the Multiverse, the threequel still remains one of the hottest topics in Hollywood. Part of what made No Way Home such a spectacle was seeing Maguire and Garfield reprise their respective Spider-Men, particularly after the latter denied that being the case for the better part of 2021. It went beyond them simply showing up too, as they played key supporting roles in the third act to help Tom Holland's Peter set everything straight in his universe and theirs alike. ADVERTISEMENT While fans are already clamoring to see more of Maguire and Garfield's web-slingers, there was a real sense of satisfaction from how involved they were in No Way Home 's story, particularly in the final battle. Now, a fan...

Bella Thorne Reacts to Deadpool 3 Fan Casts

Image
Although the MCU's immediate future is more than promising, the franchise's later movies are also moving further along in the development process. Included in that mix is Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool 3 , the MCU's first confirmed R-Rated project centered around the fan-favorite Merc with a Mouth. The new Deadpool movie recently found its director in Free Guy 's Shawn Levy, hopefully indicating more confirmed information will be on the way soon. One of the biggest questions surrounding the movie is the cast that will surround Reynolds, as Deadpool now finds himself in the same universe as Earth's Mightiest Heroes. Deadpool 2 star Zazie Beetz expressed an interest in returning to her role as Domino, while Dopinder actor Karan Soni wasn't as sure if he would be back for Round 3 with Pool-boy. ADVERTISEMENT Thanks to Deadpool's fourth-wall-breaking nature and the comedy sure to come in his third solo movie, fans are already wonde...

Daniel Radcliffe Reacts to MCU Wolverine Fan Casting

Image
When the MCU kicked off in 2008, Marvel Studios was limited as to what characters they could use and what could be referenced. Over the years prior, Marvel had sold off the film rights to many of its biggest names including Wolverine and Spider-Man. Just like Thanos, Disney has since reassembled its Infinity Gauntlet of Marvel licenses between acquiring Fox and a mutually beneficial deal with Sony. With Kevin Feige now in full control of the Marvel brand, Marvel Studios is currently preparing MCU reboots for the X-Men and Fantastic Four after its hugely successful  Spider-Man  trilogy came to a close. Past interpretations of these heroes produced many iconic performances, not least of which Hugh Jackman's Wolverine, making them among the studio's toughest casting decisions yet. ADVERTISEMENT As rumors heat up of an imminent introduction for Wolverine in  Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness , the viral discussion has reignited surrounding ...

Marvel Fan Spots Mistake During Avengers: Endgame Funeral Scene

Image
It's been a fun little game for fans to find little goofs in productions by Disney, such as the brief fan-favorite cameo of "Jeans Guy" seen during an episode of The Mandalorian , which was quickly corrected. However, it seems that Marvel fans from Iron Man to Avengers: Endgame  are either far more attentive or Marvel Studios has had a habit of making more mistakes. Some examples include incomplete makeup on Paul Bettany's Vision in WandaVision in a three-second shot, Don Cheadle's War Machine wearing the wrong armor for a split second in Endgame , and a continuity error involving Stark Tower in Hawkeye . So, it isn't a surprise that Marvel fans have been finding more of these slip-ups, even from films released years ago. ADVERTISEMENT On that note, a recent mistake was noticed due entirely to Disney+ releasing the IMAX versions of Marvel Studios' films, including Marvel's biggest Avengers movie to date. Doctor Strange 2 Fan Spots Hidden Wheelchair In Trailer: Is It Professor X's?

Image
Following the unraveling of the timeline in  Loki and all the magical chaos of No Way Home , the Doctor Strange  sequel will once again dive into the concept of Variants. Having just recently met countless Gods and Goddesses of Mischief, as well as having been reintroduced to two legendary Spider-Men, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness  will be bringing back even more fan-favorites. The term cameo has become somewhat synonymous with this recent insurgence of surprise character appearances in Marvel and Star Wars' latest movies and Disney+ series. But many of these shock character inclusions have gone well beyond the definition of a cameo as they end up playing an expansive role in the story.  Spider-Man: No Way Home  and  The Book of Boba Fett  took full advantage of this trend, but  Multiverse of Madness  looks set to take it to another level. ADVERTISEMENT Multiverse of Madness  will undoubtedly be packed with many unexpected character ap...

Marvel Fan Spots Annoying Doctor Strange Portal Mistake In MCU Movie

Image
Now that  Spider-Man: No Way Home  has been out for a couple of months, it's time to put the spotlight on Marvel Studios' next big film:  Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness . The first trailer gave everyone a glimpse of the dark adventure that awaits Benedict Cumberbatch's sorcerer and teased Wanda's chaotic role in the proceedings. There have been plenty of rumors, which have fueled the excitement about the movie. However, most of those focus on the many cameos and fun appearances that fans might expect to see, from the cast of  Loki  to old members of  The Fantastic Four , and possibly even having mutants on screen for the first time in the MCU. ADVERTISEMENT That excitement about what comes next has led fans to go back and watch 2016's  Doctor Strange . It's hard to believe that it's been six years since the character had his own solo outing, especially with how important he has been to the MCU in recent years. Wi...

Kingpin Actor Reacts to Fan Backlash Against Hawkeye Scenes

Image
To finish off its 2021 slate of projects, Marvel Studios ended the year with the conclusion of Jeremy Renner's Hawkeye series on Disney+, and it came with some huge reveals in Episode 6. Much of this centered around the long-awaited debut of Vincent D'Onofrio's Kingpin, who is now officially MCU canon after the actor reprised the role he made so popular in Netflix's Daredevil from 2015 to 2018. D'Onofrio spent the entire season subtly-but-not-so-subtly teasing that his Wilson Fisk was the man behind all the mayhem, which came as early as Episode 3 with Maya Lopez's mysterious uncle from the flashback sequence. Episode 5 fully revealed that the Kingpin existed in the MCU thanks to a grainy cell phone picture alongside Eleanor Bishop, and with that, the game officially changed. ADVERTISEMENT In D'Onofrio's one episode where he got to shine as Kingpin, one aspect of his character that brought mixed reactions from fans was t...

Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man 4 Fan Campaign Kicks Off

Image
Even with the MCU delivering its biggest year of content ever in 2021, all fans are talking about is the game-changing events of December's Spider-Man: No Way Home . With Tom Holland excelling in his third MCU solo movie alongside Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire's Spider-Men (and a handful of their villains, too), Marvel and Sony delivered some of the biggest moments in any comic-book movie ever. And because of this, 2022 kicks off a new fan campaign around another Spider-Man movie.  While Maguire and Garfield were at the center of rumors for months after their past villains were confirmed for inclusion in the MCU threequel, seeing the two former Spider-Men on screen was something that helped make  No Way Home the hit adventure of a lifetime. ADVERTISEMENT Tom Holland has shared how incredible it was to work with both of the former Spider-Men, and excitingly, fans are crying out to see more of the wall-crawling veterans in the future.
