Spider-Man: Homecoming  remains one of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's most pivotal installments, and its value only increases retrospectively. From the Tony Stark and Peter Parker bond being the catalyst for  Avengers: Endgame 's time heist to the Pepper Potts proposal laying the groundwork for where the Starks are emotionally come  Avengers: Infinity War , Spider-Man's first Marvel Studios outing is filled with crucial seeds that blossomed big shortly after. While the aforementioned moments have seen resolution,  Homecoming  still has a couple that have yet to sprout. It was already bad when critics could only see  Morbius  the day before its release. So it was no surprise when it was panned critically while also earning itself a rare C+ from CinemaScore, which resulted in its plummet at the box office. Now, it may be a negative sign for Sony's  Madame Web too. At this point, Sony will be lucky to break even on the Jared Leto-led production, but it certainly puts any sequels to this pseudo-vampire movie in jeopardy. Not to mention the rest of Sony's possible plans, if its baffling post-credit scenes are to be believed. The MCU's Guardians of the Galaxy franchise is filled with many interesting characters, incuding Karen Gillan's Nebula. She was initially introduced as a ruthless assassin since thanks to her upbringing under Thanos alongside Gamora. Since then, Nebula has slowly turned over a new leaf as she becomes an ally to the Guardians during Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame .  Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3  will showcase Nebula as a full-time member of the team, thus presenting more opportunities to explore the character's dynamic with Peter Quill and the rest of the Guardians. Marvel Studios has been introducing a lot of new characters to the audiences over the last year. This includes the likes of Monica Rambeau to Kate Bishop and now Moon Knight's many personalities. The trend is set to keep going with another big character set to make their grand entrance later this year in  Black Panther: Wakanda Forever : Riri Williams. The character is played by Dominique Thorne and will show up on the movie side of the MCU before debuting in her own Disney+ series. Riri first showed up in the comics back in 2016, where her genius level of intelligence led to her building her own Iron Man armor in the wake of Tony Stark going into a coma. Robert Downey Jr.'s Iron Man continues to have a legacy in the MCU more than two years after his on-screen death, which is largely coming to life on Disney+. It's been more than a year since WandaVision debuted on Disney+, but the streaming series' impact on pop culture is still being felt. Sony Pictures is in the midst of a theatrical Spider mania across the globe. Not only is  Spider-Man: No Way Home  breaking records worldwide, but the studio also has plans to re-release last year's  Venom: Let There Be Carnage  to further satiate Spidey fans. After her introduction in 2021's  Hawkeye , Echo is now set to have her story even more fleshed out in a Disney+ series of her own. Alaqua Cox's deaf hero was last seen in the final moments of  Hawkeye  holding a gun to her uncle Kingpin (played by Vincent D'Onofrio). While fans are still reeling from the events of  Spider-Man: No Way Home , Sony Pictures is already prepping the next addition to their wall-crawling portfolio.  Morbius  is set add to the studio's ventures into solo films based upon Peter Parker's rogues' gallery. The movie stars Jared Leto as Michael Morbius, a biochemist who tries to cure himself of a rare blood disease while simultaneously infecting himself with a form of vampirism.  The blood-sucking blockbuster has been in a state of flux for the better part of two years as Sony has shuffled its release date with the ebbs and flows of the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic.  Morbius  has not been the only film to have been hit hard by the events of the last few years, but it might be the one that has had to move its date (at least publicly) the most often.
