Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness  is poised to be the  Avengers -lite crossover event of Phase 4. Just as  Captain America: Civil War  and  Thor: Ragnarok  united heroes from across the Marvel Cinematic Universe in a solo sequel,  Multiverse of Madness  will bring together Benedict Cumberbatch's Stephen Strange and Elizabeth Olsen's Wanda Maximoff, as well as limitless Variants of both current and legacy Marvel characters. Since Doctor Strange 2  began its marketing campaign in the post-credits scene of  Spider-Man: No Way Home , most of the film's secrets have been kept close to the vest. Spider-Man: No Way Home  is a celebration of all things Spider-Man. The Tom Holland-led threequel included a plethora of callbacks to previous web-slinging films, which includes Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man trilogy and Andrew Garfield's pair of The Amazing Spider-Man movies. Spider-Man: No Way Home  recently brought to an end the first complete wall-crawler trilogy in over a decade. For the first time yet, Sony and Marvel Studios' ground-breaking deal allowed Spider-Man to interact with all corners of the Marvel world. Across the trilogy, Holland's Peter Parker ran into Robert Downey Jr.'s Iron Man, Samuel L. Spider-Man: No Way Home  has finally come home, as fans can now purchase the film on digital platforms like iTunes and Vudu. This comes as the MCU Spidey threequel continues its extended run in theaters, earning close to $800 million domestically so far - and rightfully so. Marvel Studios closed off 2021 with Jeremy Renner's Hawkeye on Disney+, finally giving a solo project to the only member of the original six Avengers who didn't yet have one. Tying back to the events of The Avengers , Avengers: Endgame , and several other classic MCU stories, the Hawkeye series found a way to pay tribute to the character's past while setting up a bright future as well. While the series largely served as Clint Barton's first solo story, these six episodes also gave Hailee Steinfeld's Kate Bishop her first chance to shine in the MCU spotlight.
