One of last year’s most festive shows was, without a doubt, Jeremy Renner’s Hawkeye . The series marked the first holiday story since Iron Man 3 and introduced Hailee Steinfeld’s Kate Bishop to the world. Many new characters came into play as well, including Vera Farmiga’s Eleanor Bishop, and Alaqua Cox’s Echo - even Vincent D’Onofrio returned as Kingpin. Another big figure from the comics brought to the silver screen was Tony Dalton’s Jack Duquesne. In the comics, Duquesne, otherwise known as the Swordsman, is a villain turned hero who previously trained Clint Barton as he grew up in the circus. One of the biggest announcements Warner Bros. has made in regards to the DCEU was the return of Michael Keaton as Batman. On top of this, it's set to be the very same character fans watched in his original films. This was all made possible thanks to the Multiverse story in which Ezra Miller's  The Flash  will be telling, one which would bring the old Caped Crusader back into the spotlight. Keaton's return will be far more than just a simple cameo. Not only will he play a major role in the Scarlet Speedster's first solo film, but he is set to return in more projects after that. It's been more than a year since WandaVision debuted on Disney+, but the streaming series' impact on pop culture is still being felt. Much of the credit for  WandaVision 's success must be credited to Elizabeth Olsen and her top-tier performance as the Scarlet Witch, but she wasn't the only sorceress to steal the show. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness  is coming up fast and MCU fans cannot wait. The Doctor Strange-centric sequel hits theaters in early May, kicking off the big screen slate for Marvel Studios in 2022. The Multiversal adventure is set to see Benedict Cumberbatch's Stephen Strange team up with MCU mainstay Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) and newcomer Xochitl Gomez as America Chavez.  Multiverse of Madness  marks the first time Gomez will make herself known in the MCU, taking on fan-favorite Marvel character America Chavez.  ADVERTISEMENT The upcoming sequel will breach the barriers of reality, including a myriad of cameos from across the Marvel-verse. But it will be Olsen, Cumberbatch, and now Gomez who will ground fans in the adventure. She may be fairly new to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but Brie Larson's Captain Marvel has already established herself as a main-event player. Carol Danvers has popped up in three Marvel Studios projects, both as a leading woman and a supporting player among Earth's Mightiest Heroes. With only two appearances in the MCU's Infinity Saga, Larson's trajectory moving forward is shaping up to be higher, further, and faster. Marvel Studios is officially finished with its entire 2021 release slate in theaters and on Disney+, which just concluded with the sixth and final episode of the streaming series Hawkeye . Jeremy Renner's solo series took some bold steps in that last entry, with Clint Barton and Kate Bishop tackling the Tracksuit Mafia while also delivering a full MCU debut for Vincent D'Onofrio's Kingpin from the Netflix series Daredevil . D'Onofrio had spent most of the few weeks prior to his MCU debut hinting at his imminent arrival through cryptic social media posts and mysterious teases through interviews on the subject.
