It was already bad when critics could only see  Morbius  the day before its release. So it was no surprise when it was panned critically while also earning itself a rare C+ from CinemaScore, which resulted in its plummet at the box office. Now, it may be a negative sign for Sony's  Madame Web too. At this point, Sony will be lucky to break even on the Jared Leto-led production, but it certainly puts any sequels to this pseudo-vampire movie in jeopardy. Not to mention the rest of Sony's possible plans, if its baffling post-credit scenes are to be believed. Ms. Marvel  is set to introduce a new MCU hero into the mix, but in the past months, the series' release timeline has been making headlines online. The COVID-19 pandemic instigated a domino effect that led to numerous delays for Marvel films and shows, such as the Iman Vellani-led series. Sony's Marvel universe is expanding after the successful introduction of Tom Hardy's Venom. The next Spider-Man spin-off series that will take center stage is Jared Leto's Morbius , a movie that centers around the titular living vampire. One of the more unexpected projects that is due to come from Marvel Studios’ Disney+ offerings is a project based on the supernatural  Werewolf by Night . The character is an obscure one and also comes with several iterations throughout the years. This started with the original in Jacob Russell in 1795, who was bitten by a werewolf in Dracula’s service.  His son, Gregory, went on to inherit the curse in the 1950s thanks to the Darkhold—an object of power that will be seen in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness . A more recent take on the character saw a 17-year old Hopi American named Jake become the titular werewolf when the Life Foundation started experiments on their reservation.
