Marvel Studios has made two mass project announcements since initially revealing Phase 4 at San Diego Comic-Con in 2019. The first came at 2020's Disney Investor Day, and the second followed on 2021's Disney+ Day, but even across those events, details remain vague on one film from the initial Phase 4 reveal:  Blade ​​​​​​. As the Marvel Cinematic Universe enters a brand new chapter, the superhero franchise is pushing for more representation in Phase 4. Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings introduced a stacked Asian cast, while Eternals  delivered powerful performances from its diverse group of heroes.  On top of racial equality, the MCU is also leaning towards LGBTQ+ representation. Disney+ has become an essential tool for Marvel fans across the world. For one, it's the medium for Marvel Studios to tell a new plethora of stories, including the currently airing  Moon Knight , and the upcoming  Ms. Marvel . On top of that, the service also serves as a library for all the content released in the past—including those released far before the days of 2008's  Iron Man . For one, all of the previous X-Men projects are ready and waiting for audiences to rematch or discover them for the first time. Then there are previous iterations of the  Fantastic Four  in which fans can get reacquainted with the team ahead of Jon Watts' upcoming reboot. Even all of the former Netflix shows have found their way onto the platform—the amount of options is simply staggering. The MCU's Guardians of the Galaxy franchise is filled with many interesting characters, incuding Karen Gillan's Nebula. She was initially introduced as a ruthless assassin since thanks to her upbringing under Thanos alongside Gamora. Since then, Nebula has slowly turned over a new leaf as she becomes an ally to the Guardians during Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame .  Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3  will showcase Nebula as a full-time member of the team, thus presenting more opportunities to explore the character's dynamic with Peter Quill and the rest of the Guardians. Due to streaming wars, mergers, pandemic-related shutdowns and delays, and uncertainty concerning theaters, recent months haven't been kind to film studios. However, the same can't be said for certain Hollywood stars, such as Barry Keoghan. Within the past year, the actor has appeared in Marvel's Eternals as Druig, as well as Warner Bros.  The Batman  in a surprise role. Right in the heart Phase 3 from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, ABC and Marvel Television brought their third team-up effort to the small screen with the eight-episode Inhumans series. Although both Agents of SHIELD and Agent Carter earned plenty of positive response from fans and critics before Inhumans , this series became one of Marvel's biggest flops and was canceled after only one season. Inhumans  had a rough go right from the start, having originally been planned as a Phase 3 movie before their story became a big part of Seasons 2 and 3 in Agents of SHIELD .  Once the show actually aired in late 2016, it only went further downhill as it misused its core heroes at every turn, leading to some of the worst reviews for any Marvel project ever. Thor Movie Actor Arrested in Los Angeles Marvel KTLA News in Los Angeles, California reported that Thor actor Joseph Gatt was arrested in Los Angeles last week after engaging in  “online sexually explicit communication” with a minor, according to LAPD detectives. He was arrested on April 6 after also having a separate but similar warrant outside of California. Gatt had a role in Marvel Studios' Thor in 2011, playing one of the villainous Frost Giant warriors from Jotunheim. While fans are surely excited to see Kamala Khan find her way in the Marvel universe, especially ahead of her inclusion in The Marvels , her superpowers have been a hot topic in the last few weeks. The first full trailer for Ms. Marvel revealed that Kamala's powers will be changed from how they appear in the comics, giving her cosmic energy rather than embiggening abilities. While this is already causing some major backlash from fans due to how drastic the alterations are, there's still interest in seeing how this new version of Ms. Marvel ties into the MCU. In recent years, Marvel has proactively taken bigger steps to adapt its various IPs into quality blockbuster level games; not just the lackluster mobile games they've been known for. Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania features yet another star-studded cast for the MCU's 10th Phase 4 movie, including more than a handful of veterans from the first two shrinking outings. Included in that cast is Michelle Pfeiffer, who returns for her second portrayal of the original Wasp, Janet Van Dyne, after her making Marvel debut in 2018's Ant-Man and the Wasp . Pfeiffer should have the opportunity for an expanded role in the MCU threequel after spending most of her first movie trapped in the Quantum Realm, eventually leaving with Michael Douglas' Hank Pym. Sony Pictures just released the next step in its Spider-Man Universe with Jared Leto's  Morbius . The film had previously been hit with multiple delays, including one likely caused by the extreme success of  Spider-Man: No Way Home . But fear not, it's finally here, and it's—well, not great, at least according to those who have seen it thus far.  Many have pointed out the dated feel of the movie, lackluster visual effects, and a truly baffling set of post-credits scenes. After Moon Knight and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness , Marvel Studios is set to bring its second new leading hero into the fold for Phase 4 with the Ms. Marvel series on Disney+. The TV show will be something of a change of pace from the year's earlier projects, with one of the MCU's youngest characters finding her place amongst Earth's Mightiest Heroes. Ms. Marvel 's first trailer recently gave fans the first full look at Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan in a story focused on a teenager trying to find where she fits in her own universe and the world as a whole. Things have been relatively quiet on the  Marvel's Avengers  front as of late, but that is the last thing a studio wants when they are working on a live-service game. Developer Crystal Dynamics has assured devoted fans that more content would come to the title; however, the last big move made by the studio was putting Spider-Man into the game last fall. Avengers  has had an uphill battle since the game was released. Recently, it was announced that a fan-favorite Marvel Comics character would finally be getting their own project: Nova . The reports indicated that something is in the works, but whether it was going to be a movie or a Disney+ series remains up in the air. The end of 2021 ushered in the new era of the Marvel Cinematic Universe that is seemingly focused on the Multiverse. Back in 2015,  Daredevil  opened up a new era for the MCU as marked its first foray into mature content and kickstarted a multi-year and multi-project collaboration between Marvel and Netflix. Fans await the day the MCU machine starts back up again and the cycle of hype surrounding the franchise to kick into full gear yet again. However, there has been a bit of a rain cloud hanging over Disney at the moment as the company faces backlash for its general silence around Florida's controversial 'Don't Say Gay' bill.  The piece of legislation would ban the discussion of gender identity and sexual orientation in schools in a state where Disney bases much of its operations. The majority of Marvel Studios' projects, to date, have been live-action. In fact,  What If...?  currently resides as the only animated series to join the roster. The Disney+ series followed Jeffery Wright's Watcher as he looked over various alternate timelines until it culminated in the cosmic being needing to form a group of heroes to take on a Multiversal threat in Infinity Ultron. When the first season streamed last year, the creatives behind the scenes weren't shy in revealing that a Season 2 was on the way and that they hoped to get it out by 2022.
