Marvel Studios is in the fast lane to  Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness . The sequel's marketing campaign officially kicked off in the post-credits of  Spider-Man: No Way Home , and has only surged since.  Doctor Strange 2  dropped its official trailer during this year's Super Bowl to thunderous applause, and ticket pre-sales already have the film on track for a incredible opening weekend. With Disney+'s  Moon Knight  entering its mid-season this Wednesday, Marvel Studios has turned up the dial on its theatrical marketing. New rumblings indicate the  Thor: Love and Thunder  trailer is imminent, but April largely belongs to  Doctor Strange 2 . Variety initially reported in early 2020 that Rachel McAdams would not be reprising her role as Christine Palmer in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness . However, several months later, Deadline confirmed that previous reports of McAdams' exclusion were incorrect and that she'd join the  Doctor Strange sequel's cast after all, although it was unknown how significant her role would be. More information about McAdams' role was revealed during post-production, and producer Richie Palmer confirmed that Palmer and Strange " are not back together"  in the sequel. One of its many installments featured a story that saw Benedict Cumberbatch’s sorcerer trying to undo the death of the love of his life: Rachel McAdams’ Christine Palmer. The story doesn’t have a happy ending, but then again, neither do their romantic entanglements in the MCU.
