Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly are in preparation for their third team-up effort together as Scott Lang and Hope Van Dyne in next year's Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania for the MCU. With filming for the threequel having wrapped at the end of 2021, more than a year still remains until Rudd and Lilly's work on the script and plot comes to life on the big screen. For Lilly specifically, Ant-Man 3 will put her character into a more prominent role than ever before as she makes her fourth appearance in the MCU and her first after the Infinity Saga. She's already confirmed to be involved in some major action sequences after fully suiting up as the Wasp four years ago, and with both of her parents back in the flow, she has her biggest support system to date in a solo film. Marvel Studios' furthest out confirmed movie release date is that of  Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania , which is prepping for its July 2023 release. Paul Rudd's Scott Lang and Evangeline Lilly's Hope Van Dyne will be back for their third solo adventure, and with shooting happening right now it looks to be their biggest film to date with the Quantum Realm looming. As is the case with Marvel Studios' upcoming projects, the plot for Ant-Man 3 remains largely under wraps outside the additions of Kathryn Newton's Stature and Jonathan Majors' Kang the Conqueror. Filming has shown Paul Rudd jamming out on the streets for a new musical montage, but outside of that, the MCU's secrets for this film remain intact. When the pandemic began at the start of 2020, Evangeline Lilly was quite dismissive in a controversial post questioning the coronavirus. She went so far as to compare lockdowns and quarantining to " Marshall Law."  However, she quickly apologized to fans and backtracked on her position following the enormous blowback from her comments. Although Marvel Studios has its entire slate of 2022 projects still coming as scheduled, 2023 is setting up to be an equally big year for the growing franchise as well. For the time being, the last theatrical project of that year will be Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania , which will see Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly join forces for their biggest solo adventure to date. As has been the case with nearly every MCU project in Phase 4, Marvel Studios' third solo Ant-Man movie has had to deal with the challenges of completing production with the worldwide Covid-19 pandemic still being a reality.
