It's hard to believe how in an alternate timeline, fans would have had  Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3  nearly two years ago, on May 1, 2020. Thanks to a big Twitter scandal and that not-so-minor pandemic event, the release never happened. Instead, audiences still have an entire year left to go before they can see their favorite group of ragtag cosmic misfits take center stage. While the group will show up in at least a minor capacity for Chris Hemsworth's upcoming Thor: Love and Thunder , that only serves to soften the blow. It'll be great to see them on-screen on any level, but at the end of the day, it won't be their story. Academy Award winner Brie Larson is in for a busy couple of years as she adds new blockbuster projects to her resume at every turn. Marvel Studios is now halfway through its first season of Oscar Isaac’s Moon Knight , which took its deepest dive yet into the MCU’s take on ancient Egyptian mythology in its recent third episode. One of the most successful Marvel Studios Disney+ shows last year was Tom Hiddleston’s Loki . The series saw the God of Mischief arrested by the TVA after diverging from his 2012 Avengers timeline in Endgame . What followed was an absolutely wild ride as he met Variants of himself across the universe—the main one being Sylvie, played by Sophia Di Martino. Black Panther 2 Closer to Completion Multiple crew members confirmed that shooting has finished in Puerto Rico for Marvel Studios' Black Panther: Wakanda Forever . Fans of Riri Williams were excited to hear confirmation that the teenage hero, known as Ironheart, would be making her Marvel Cinematic Universe debut in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever . The MCU faithful were even able to catch a glimpse of Dominique Thorne's young hero on the set of the Black Panther sequel, seemingly attending MIT in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Ironheart is quickly making headway in pre-production, already having hired a head writer last year in  Snowpiercer scribe Chinaka Hodge, along with updating its logo. Hasbro's Marvel Legends action figure line continues to be popular with fans and collectors alike, with its practical articulation and deep character selection. The line, of course, encompasses several heroes, villains and supporting cast members from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The most recent MCU figures released by Hasbro comprised characters from  Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness  and featured Wong, America Chavez, and the good doctor himself. Additionally, figures based upon  Hawkeye  stood as the only 2021 MCU project to not have a dedicated Marvel Legends release. On the broader Disney+ side of the MCU, Legends actually hasn't put out any figures from the streaming series since Summer, 2021's wave based on  What If...?  Rumors have persisted of a new series of figures based on the characters from Marvel Studios' shows on Disney+, but nothing has gone up for pre-order until now. Marvel's Netflix shows have had their fair share of ups and downs over the years. Back in 2015, Netflix introduced Daredevil and Jessica Jones to Marvel fans, with each show debuting to positive acclaim. After the success of the two shows, more projects arrived, such as Iron Fist, Luke Cage , and The Punisher , ultimately leading to a crossover special entitled The Defenders where the heroes (sans Punisher) assembled against The Hand.  Despite the success of several shows, less than stellar follow-up seasons and Disney+'s arrival ultimately led to their cancellation. In the time following Marvel Studios' Avengers: Endgame , the MCU has only expanded thanks to new characters, Disney+ series storytelling, and the Multiverse. Fans have also caught up with many of Marvel's pre-existing heroes, like Hawkeye, Sam Wilson, Bucky Barnes, and Wanda Maximoff. It's been quite a while since fans have seen Brie Larson's heroic Captain Marvel. The cosmic powerhouse was first introduced in her own solo film in 2019, just before the cinematic event that was  Avengers:  Endgame .
