Outside of the MCU, Sony Pictures is looking to expand mightily with its cache of Spider-Man-centric movies. One of the most successful in this endeavor was 2018's Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse , the adventure starring Miles Morales that became one of the best animated films ever made. Now, all eyes are looking forward to the long-awaited sequel, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse . The first trailer for this sequel premiered in December 2021 as fans got a look into how Miles would reunite with Hailee Steinfeld's Gwen Stacy and explore the Multiverse more fully. Thor: Love and Thunder has just recently broken quite an annoying record: it now holds the number one spot when it comes to the shortest amount of time between the first teaser trailer and the same project’s release date. Fans are starting to go into a frenzy. No doubt, summoning circles have likely started forming in order to try and pry some footage out of Marvel Studios HQ. While Tom Holland's Spider-Man enjoys synergetic success with both Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures, the latter has been developing its own exclusive cinematic universe. Centered around Tom Hardy's Venom, Sony's interconnected world has utilized rogues from Peter Parker's comic gallery, despite the wall-crawler being nowhere to be seen. With two  Venom  films already under its belt, Sony expands its universe with Jared Leto's  Morbius . The Living Vampire's road to April 1 has been paved by unfortunate circumstances.  Morbius  wrapped filming nearly three years ago, but COVID-19 shelved its initial July 2020 release. Following director Taika Waititi's successful run on 2017's Thor: Ragnarok , the director reunited with Marvel Studios for a second round of storytelling in Thor: Love and Thunder . The sequel is already being teased as Ragnarok Part 2, allowing Waititi to go as wild as he wants with the God of Thunder. Featuring intergalactic monsters and the MCU's first true symbiote, there are no limits to how crazy this sequel can get. So far, Phase 4 of the MCU has brought in new heroes and new threats while addressing the state of society post-blip; but of all these new faces and focuses, the Multiverse appears to be the driving force behind the new narrative. Following  Loki and What If...? on Disney+, Marvel cracked open the Multiversal door in Spider-Man: No Way Home ; but come May 6, 2022, Doctor Strange 2 is expected to dive in headfirst. Spider-Man: No Way Home  brought together three generations of moviegoers for an  Avengers -level cinematic event that also marked the dramatic end of the  Homecoming  trilogy.
