Paul Rudd Confirms the 'Coolest Group' at Avengers: Endgame's Funeral Set

Image
Over the years, Marvel Studios has picked up some of the brightest talents in Hollywood for the MCU. Those who didn't arrive as stars have certainly left as one. Take Tom Holland and Robert Downey Jr., who now stand as two of the biggest names in the industry. With so much talent spread across the many franchises that make up the MCU,  Avengers: Endgame  was truly a sight to behold and, second only to an awards ceremony, the ultimate who's who of Hollywood. Having featured Oscar-winners such as Anthony Hopkins, Cate Blanchett, Natalie Portman, and more, the  Thor  franchise holds the record for the most Academy Awards for a solo franchise. But one cannot estimate the star power that comes with the  Ant-Man  movies as it features names like Michael Douglas, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Paul Rudd. ADVERTISEMENT Kicking into gear with 2015's  Ant-Man , the shrinking franchise quickly established itself as one of the funniest in the MCU, and despite it...

This seemingly confirms the canine's involvement in one or both of the upcoming Marvel Studios projects. ADVERTISEMENT Marvel The spacefaring canine is looking as precious as ever, all dressed up as Rudolph with a red nose, antlers, and a shiny golden bell.  Marvel Festive decorations aside, Cosmo's spacesuit seems to be updated from his or...

MCU Report Confirms Major Change for Ms. Marvel's Superpowers

Image
Following Marvel Studios' efforts with Moon Knight , the next Disney+ series on the docket is Iman Vellani's Ms. Marvel , with the young heroine set to make her long-awaited MCU debut in June. While fans are surely excited to see Kamala Khan find her way in the Marvel universe, especially ahead of her inclusion in The Marvels , her superpowers have been a hot topic in the last few weeks. The first full trailer for Ms. Marvel revealed that Kamala's powers will be changed from how they appear in the comics, giving her cosmic energy rather than embiggening abilities. While this is already causing some major backlash from fans due to how drastic the alterations are, there's still interest in seeing how this new version of Ms. Marvel ties into the MCU. ADVERTISEMENT These powers will seemingly come from a set of hefty bracelets that were shown in the trailer, although there is still plenty of mystery surrounding their place in the story as it...

MCU Writer Confirms Scrapped Venom Plot In Spider-Man: No Way Home

Image
It was rumored near the end of 2020 that there was interest, likely from Sony, for Tom Hardy's Eddie Brock and Venom to have a role in Spider-Man: No Way Home . However, when asked by the press about this rumor, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige played coy about Venom's inclusion in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In the post-credit scene of Venom: Let There Be Carnage , it was finally confirmed to fans that one of Parker's biggest villains had seemingly arrived in the MCU. But, hilariously, when No Way Home was released in theaters, one of its post-credit scenes immediately booted Brock out of the MCU, only leaving a tiny piece of the symbiote behind and having no involvement whatsoever with the plot. ADVERTISEMENT After previously mentioning that Venom was considered for the Spidey threequel's final confrontation, co-writer Chris McKenna has now revealed a few more details about the version of the plot had the head-biting anti-hero a...

Doctor Strange 2 Report Confirms Gay Main Character

Image
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness ' story looks like it's going to be one hell of an adventure as audiences follow Benedict Cumberbatch's titular sorcerer through the Multiverse as he tries to keep reality from falling apart. However, he won't be alone; newcomer Xochitl Gomez will be joining him as America Chavez. What makes her role so special is how she has the ability to travel between universes, a power which undoubtedly comes in handy in a film exploring the Multiverse. Rumors indicate that America's star-shaped portals will be her ticket out of her doomed reality and into the MCU-Prime, where she'll enlist Stephen Strange's help. ADVERTISEMENT Another important part of the character is that she is gay in the comics. Understandably, many fans have been afraid both Disney and Marvel Studios may try to avoid explicitly labeling or showing that side of the reality-hopping hero. Well, rest assured, that's not s...

Doctor Strange 2 Confirms Time Passed Since Spider-Man: No Way Home

Image
Spider-Man: No Way Home broke the Multiverse wide open, giving fans a preview of the concept of alternate realities. While Peter Parker's identity crisis has already been resolved, the problem now shifts to Benedict Cumberbatch's titular sorcerer. Upon helping the young Marvel hero, Doctor Strange unknowingly destabilized the Multiverse, thus leading to the events of Multiverse of Madness .  Given the two films' strong connections, there's a chance that the sequel will include references to the Tom Holland-led movie.  ADVERTISEMENT In the months leading to the film's premiere, Cumberbatch defended Doctor Strange casting that reality-breaking spell for Parker, pointing out that the teenage web-head did interfere with the spell  "something like six times"  while also admitting that  "it's not all arrogance" and it's a " very calculated risk." The MCU veteran also commented on how the Doctor Stran...

Moon Knight Writer Confirms Secret Marvel Cameo In Episode 1

Image
Moon Knight  is the MCU's first small-screen project for 2022 on Disney+. The series features Oscar Isaac as the titular hero, with the actor playing multiple different roles due to the character's dissociative identity disorder. While the comics heavily focused on Marc Spector, Moon Knight flips the page as it highlights Steven Grant instead to start. While Moon Knight usually works alone during missions, the character's history in the comics shows that he has trusted allies through the years. The show's marketing pushes May Calamawy's Layla as Moon Knight's lone acquaintance in the series, leading fans to question if other notable characters like Jean-Paul "Frenchie" Duchamp or Gena Landers will appear at some point.  ADVERTISEMENT Now, it looks like the premiere has a hidden cameo that will delight diehard Moon Knight fans.  A Longtime Moon Knight Ally Spotted  Warning: the rest of this article contains spoilers for...

Ant-Man Actor Confirms He’ll Be Missing From Third Movie

Image
The  Ant-Man and the Wasp  franchise has always been among the smaller corners of the MCU, both figuratively and literally. Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly's shrinking adventures have focussed more on the comedic angle, all while telling smaller family-driven stories in the Marvel world. But  Quantumania  looks set to put an end to that as Jonathan Majors' Kang the Conqueror joins in on the fun, bringing with him more consequences for the MCU. As the scale of the  Ant-Man  franchise ramps up, there will naturally be some casualties as some elements from the first two entries get sidelined.  Captain America: Civil War  greatly upped the scale from  The First Avenger  and  The Winter Soldier , but as a result came close to being an  Avengers  film that abandoned some key elements of the trilogy. ADVERTISEMENT With the introduction of Kang the Conqueror bringing a whole new world to the  Ant-Man  franchise, it appears some simpler elements of the ear...

Moon Knight Producer Confirms WandaVision Similarities

Image
The Marvel Cinematic Universe kicks off this year's release slate the same way it began in 2021. Before Marvel Studios movies make their way to theaters this summer, the franchise restarts on Disney+ with Oscar Isaac's  Moon Knight . Just as  WandaVision  opened up 2021 as the first MCU streaming series,  Moon Knight  represents the first time a Marvel Studios rookie will debut on Disney+. Moon Knight  will follow Steven Grant, a calm gift shop employee whose life is turned upside down when revelations about his past begin to surface. Isaac is pulling double duty in this series, as Grant is just one of the multiple personalities within his character. Mix in the worlds of Egyptian gods and  "David Koresh" -inspired cult leaders, and Isaac's character has enough internal and external conflicts for lifetimes. ADVERTISEMENT While many of those aspects are teased in  Moon Knight  trailers and have been pieced together from comic inspirat...

Moon Knight Director Confirms the Show Broke an MCU Filming Record

Image
Marvel Studios is only a few days away from kicking off its slate of Phase 4 content in 2022 with Oscar Isaac's Moon Knight , set to debut on Disney+. The MCU newcomer will be one of the franchise's most unique characters to date in a series that looks to make its own special mark on the growing narrative. Fans have already seen some of what filming delivered, and the reviews are quite favorable thus far. Filming for the series started nearly a year ago in Budapest, lasting for the better part of 2021 before post-production added the effects and post-production work needed for the supernatural story. Fans have already gotten a taste of just how wild this series will be thanks to material with Egyptian gods and a clip featuring demons coming out of the ground. ADVERTISEMENT Although Moon Knight experienced the same delays for filming that every other MCU project did, production went fairly smoothly for the show as it worked toward its early 2022 ...

Marvel Director Confirms What We All Suspected About WandaVision Season 2

Image
Marvel Studios is looking to expand the MCU more heavily than ever with its upcoming Disney+ shows, which all started with WandaVision in January 2021. Although that series utilized its own unique style of sitcom-inspired storytelling, it opened the door for the franchise to continue with new adventures via Disney's exclusive streaming service. While other shows like Loki and What If...? are already confirmed to continue into future seasons, that status has always been in question for WandaVision . This is largely due to Paul Bettany's Vision having died at Thanos' hands in Avengers: Infinity War , only coming back into play through Wanda's immensely powerful Chaos Magic. ADVERTISEMENT WandaVision 's first season hit the mark in a big way with fans and critics alike, and almost all of its main cast members are set to continue their journeys in other projects. Now, thanks to the MCU's newest director, it's been confirmed tha...

Ryan Reynolds Confirms Another Way Deadpool 3 Will Make MCU History

Image
In 2016, Ryan Reynolds'  Deadpool broke the mold of the superhero genre with its irreverent tone, unconventional marketing, and R-rating. While the film was a huge success and inspired a 2018 sequel, the future of the franchise was thrown into question due to Disney's merger with Fox. While Disney and Marvel Studios were expected to capitalize on the property, its future within the MCU seemed uncertain given its penchant for adult humor and overt self-awareness. But this time, Marvel Studios was the one to break the mold. Not only is the threequel moving forward, but Deadpool 3 was confirmed as part of the MCU and will make history as the first MCU movie with an R-rating. ADVERTISEMENT While Deadpool 3 is already a groundbreaking film for Marvel Studios, fans are now learning that the project - and Ryan Reynolds - are making Marvel history in another way.  Ryan Reynolds Production Company Attached to Deadpool 3 Marvel According to Ryan Reyno...

Marvel Director Confirms Spider-Man's Existence In Morbius Movie Universe

Image
While fans are reveling in  Spider-Man: No Way Home 's in-home release and the celebration of the character that that film provided, Sony is prepping to release its next adventure in its own wall-crawling universe.  Morbius stars Jared Leto as Spider-Man villain Michael Morbius, a biochemist who, in trying to cure his rare blood disease, infects himself with a form of vampirism.  So far in Sony's Spider-Man Universe (SSMU), there have been few questions about its connections to other films attached to the web-slinger. However,  Morbius  has brought up some interesting Multiversal questions. In the film's trailers, there were hints pointing to all three big-screen Spider-Men, so it remains unknown what universe this movie actually exists within.  ADVERTISEMENT And even more at the forefront of many fans' minds is the question of whether a Spider-Man will even appear in the upcoming film. There had been no mention of Marvel's webhead in...
