The titular sorcerer is set to team up with old and new heroes, such as his trusted ally Wong, Elizabeth Olsen's Wanda Maximoff, and Xochitl Gomez's America Chavez. Aside from the four protagonists, the sequel's trailer is also filled with hints about new characters joining the adventure.  Patrick Stewart's Charles Xavier has been confirmed to make his presence felt as part of the MCU's Illuminati, and his arrival also indicates that the other members of the powerful group will also appear. ADVERTISEMENT Hemsworth's Thor is front and center in that regard as well, with promo images already teasing his latest new set of threads that he will don in just a few months' time on the big screen. New Moon Knight Trailer Features Falcon and Winter Soldier Easter Egg

Image
After kicking off 2021 with WandaVision and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier , Marvel Studios is in for an even bigger expansion on Disney+ in 2022. This starts with Oscar Isaac’s Moon Knight at the end of March, bringing one of the MCU’s first dives into more supernatural storytelling. Now that the series is so close to its debut, excitement for Moon Knight is reaching a fever pitch. This six-episode series will open new doors within the MCU’s ever-expanding narrative thanks to its ties to both ancient Egyptian mythology and more mystical plot points. After bringing a mix of real-world adventures and more cosmic/Multiversal adventures last year, 2022 will let Isaac fully explore a multi-layered new hero with an intense backstory to unravel. ADVERTISEMENT Recently, fans learned that Moon Knight would largely stand on its own as a story rather than being deeply interwoven with the rest of the MCU. However, even while the show attempts to start Isaac...

Florence Pugh's Unused Hawkeye Costume Features a Black Widow Logo (Photos)

2021 was a fantastic year for Marvel Studios. Not only did it bring a massive amount of content, but it expanded the universe and introduced countless new faces to the MCU. WandaVision started Monica Rambaue’s journey. Loki gave fans a glimpse at Kang the Conqueror. What If…? showed everyone The Watcher. Hawkeye brought Kate Bishop into the equation— but that’s not even everybody. In fact, it doesn’t include the person who is almost certainly the clear fan-favorite: Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova. Pugh’s Black Widow was introduced in Scarlet Johansson’s solo film last July, and ever since, viewers have fallen in love with her. While tragic, the actress’ comedic timing and personality are perfect, which brings just the right amount of levity to her harrowing origins. ADVERTISEMENT Her most recent appearance was in Hawkeye , where she meets Hailee Steinfeld’s, Kate Bishop. The moment the two first shared the screen, sparks were flying. Their dynamic is a...

Moon Knight Trailer Features Avengers Movie Callback

Moon Knight  is primed to make Marvel Cinematic Universe history. Similar to Simu Liu's Shang-Chi and Paul Rudd's Ant-Man, Oscar Isaac's cloaked crime-fighter will make his Marvel Studios debut in his own self-titled project. Unlike the aforementioned heroes, however, Moon Knight will be the first to make that debut in a solo streaming series on Disney+. Marvel's first project of 2022 debuted its first trailer during the recent Monday Night Football NFL Wild Card game and immediately took social media by storm. The two-minute spot focused largely on Isaac's Steven Grant persona, one of at least three alter egos he will utilize in  Moon Knight , as well as flashes of the title character suited up in his stained-white threads. ADVERTISEMENT Unlike most trailers for debuting heroes, Marvel's  Moon Knight  teaser omitted any blatant references to the larger universe around him. While marketing material for films like  Ant-Man  and  Sh...

No Way Home Concept Art Features Tony Stark

Spider-Man: No Way Home was Marvel's last release of 2021 and it capped off a stacked year of projects with a bang. Tom Holland's third solo  Spider-Man film certainly had a lot going on with characters from both the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the wider Sony Spider-Man franchise coming together on-screen for the first time.  No Way Home pulled off something that many thought would be impossible as it opened the Multiverse and brought in dozens of legacy Spider-Man characters, including two extra Spider-Men with appearances by Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield's Peter Parkers. Plenty of planning went into the duo's involvement with scenes even being rewritten late into the process after both actors had signed on. ADVERTISEMENT Another advantage that Holland's Spider-Man films have is their place within the MCU, which allows other Marvel characters to cross over seamlessly. It also allows the films to build up the wider world of...
