Love and Thunder Idea During Phase 1

Image
There are plenty of examples of how Marvel Studios has evolved creativity throughout the years, but one of the best projects to showcase this is Chris Hemsworth’s Thor: Love and Thunder . The film recently released its first teaser trailer, and it sure looks like director Taika Watiti’s brand of insanity is intact at dialed to eleven. It’s hard to believe such a movie exists in the MCU; that the story, and Marvel in general, would get around to adapting the material seen here.  Asgard is now one of the biggest tourist attractions on Earth, Thor is a peace-advocating guru going on a journey to discover himself, and Jane Foster now wields his former hammer. If someone were to tell fans 15 years ago that this movie was going to exist, they’d have thought you were Marc Spector levels of crazy. Moon Knight Director Reveals Idea for 'Crazy' Avengers Crossover

The MCU is inching closer to its long-awaited return with its latest project, Moon Knight , whose first episode will arrive before the end of March. Featuring Oscar Isaac in the leading role and Egyptian native Mohamed Diab as its director, this limited series will bring the MCU's first new hero of the year in a wild globe-spanning adventure Throughout its marketing campaign, Marvel and the team behind Moon Knight have teased the series as a largely standalone project in relation to its other MCU counterparts. Although there are rumors pointing to a potential appearance by Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/the Hulk, this show won't necessarily rely on connections to the larger story to expand its own narrative. ADVERTISEMENT That isn't to say that Moon Knight won't cross over with other major heroes in the MCU at some point, as Isaac has already teased who he would like to team up within other projects down the road. To give fans an idea of w...

Sony Rejected Spider-Man 3 Star Topher Grace's Idea to Appear In Venom 2 Trailer

Image
Venom has been portrayed twice in live-action movies, with his first appearance coming from Topher Grace in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 3 . Grace made his Marvel debut as Eddie Brock in the 2007 film, where he went up against Tobey Maguire's hero. The threequel's portrayal of the villain was less than popular among fans and critics alike, which consequently put the plans for a solo project on hold.  11 years after Grace's appearance as the iconic Spider-Man villain, Tom Hardy took a crack at the symbiote antihero in 2018's Venom . Unlike Spider-Man 3 , the actor's portrayal in the character's solo adventure was an overall success, which ultimately lead to a sequel receiving the greenlight.  ADVERTISEMENT With Spider-Man: No Way Home pushing the Multiverse to the forefront, this led to the question of how many alternate iterations of past characters could appear. While Raimi villains like Willem Dafoe's Green Goblin and Thomas ...

No Way Home Was ‘Stupid Idea’ at First

Andrew Garfield was famously cast as Peter Parker for 2012's  The Amazing Spider-Man.  The movie was a success in Sony's eyes and went on to spawn a sequel. It was around that time that the studio began to formulate all sorts of grand plans for its Spider-Man universe, but those ambitions all came to a screeching halt when The Amazing Spider-Man 2  underperformed, and the character was rebooted into the MCU with the Tom Holland version that fans know today. So, Andrew Garfield went on with his career while the MCU Web-slinger did his thing, teaming up with the Avengers and so on and so forth. However, when it came time for the third Marvel Studios/Sony Spider-Man solo film, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige and Marvel wanted to explore a team-up of their own with a Multiversal twist, thus bringing back Garfield and original cinematic Spider-Man Tobey Maguire for  Spider-Man: No Way Home . ADVERTISEMENT The movie, which has been a runaway su...
