Is Disney+'s She-Hulk In Trouble? New Rumor Points to Show's Problems

Image
This year will see the debut of a second Hulk in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Sure, all eyes may be currently on Marvel Studios' next project,  Moon Knight , but Tatiana Maslany's debut may be one of the biggest and most unique additions to the MCU's Disney+ slate in 2022. Maslany leads the series as Jennifer Walters, who ends up becoming a different version of what her cousin, Bruce Banner is: a Hulk. What makes the character truly unique is how she doesn't lose control of herself, like Mark Ruffalo's former Avenger. She also goes on to try and lead a normal life; raging green frame and all. That normal life? Being a lawyer in the courtroom. ADVERTISEMENT The series will have ten episodes, and be more akin to a sitcom than anything the MCU has done before. Basically, it will be what  WandaVision  would have become if Agatha wasn't there all along. Sadly, however, new rumors have indicated that there may be some problems brewin...

Oscar Isaac Gets Candid About Mental Health Issues In Disney+'s Moon Knight

Image
It should be no surprise to fans that Oscar Isaac's  Moon Knight will focus on Marc Spector's mental health issues, considering its importance to the character in the comics. However, a plot synopsis for the series revealed that Steven Grant, the alternate personality of Marc Spector, would discover "he has dissociative identity disorder." In essence, the audience will learn about his disorder alongside Grant as he tries to figure out what's happening to him. Spector having dissociative identity disorder, similarly to his Jewish upbringing, wasn't immediately established upon his creation in the comics, but later with other writers. ADVERTISEMENT So, it's good to hear that production are taking the topic seriously, not only doing their own research but bringing on an expert consultant. Mental Health In Marvel's Moon Knight Show Marvel Disney recently shared a press release for its upcoming series  Moon Knight , which ...

Marvel & Star Wars Reportedly to Blame for Disney+'s New Ads

Image
In just over two years, Disney+ has become one of the biggest names in the streaming world. The media giant has bolstered a stellar back catalog of movies and TV with new original content by using some of the biggest IP's in the world. Now, the Disney+ formula has not changed all that much since the service launched; however, there have been talks of ads showing up on the streaming platform.  Up to this point, Disney+ has been ad-free with a premium subscription being paid per household to access its content. But news recently came to light that the company was introducing a cheaper, budget-friendly tier to the service that would incorporate mid-program advertising (akin to plans on Hulu).  ADVERTISEMENT With more than 129 million subscribers on Disney+, it makes a lot of sense that brands would want a slice of that pie, no matter how minuscule it may be. And if a new report is to be believed, these subscription numbers are not the only reason that a...

Disney+'s Moon Knight Reportedly NOT Attached to the Current MCU

Image
Moving out of the chaos of the Infinity Saga's climactic installments, Phase 4 is packed with much of the same insanity, with game-changing stories like  Spider-Man: No Way Home ,  Loki , and  Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness . Although as many old faces depart the MCU, the latest projects have also introduced audiences to some new faces, including Kate Bishop, Shang-Chi, and, later this month, Moon Knight. Moon Knight  will mark the MCU's first venture into the supernatural with Egyptian gods and mystical creatures. The Disney+ series is also set to be the darkest and most brutal entry in the cinematic universe yet with an exploration of Marc Spector's dissociative identity disorder that gives him multiple personalities. ADVERTISEMENT In an ever-connected cinematic universe like the MCU, fans are always waiting to find out how each project will tie into what comes next and what has come before. But by the sounds of it,  Moon Knigh...

Coming in alongside Jameela Jamil’s new villain Titania and Tim Roth in his long-awaited return as Emil Blonsky/Abomination, this show will bring the first expansion into the Hulk legacy in 14 years. ADVERTISEMENT For all the footage and imagery that’s been released so far, fans are still waiting to see what Maslany will look like when she fully transforms into her large green heroine. Disney+'s Moon Knight Rumored to Feature Major Avengers Hero

Image
Marvel Studios is mere weeks away from kicking off its 2022 slate with Oscar Isaac's Moon Knight , the first MCU hero to debut as the headliner of his own Disney+ show. While the MCU is some time away from bringing back any heroes already with Avenger status, Moon Knight will feature a different kind of character in one of the MCU's darkest properties to date. With such a short time until the show premieres, fans are starting to get an idea of what to expect from the MCU's first time putting Marc Spector into the spotlight. Isaac has shared how passionate he is about bringing this new power player into the story, which will hopefully lead to interactions with some of Earth's Mightiest Heroes in the foreseeable future. ADVERTISEMENT As Isaac prepares for his first series as Moon Knight, some are already starting to picture what will happen when the star's character joins forces with some of the MCU's heavier hitters. Even more exc...

Charlie Cox Reacts to Disney+’s Marvel-Netflix News With R-Rated Hopes

Image
Headlines were recently made that all the former Netflix Marvel shows would be leaving the Big N permanently and arriving at a new residence, Disney+, on March 16. This includes the likes of Daredevil , Jessica Jones , Luke Cage , Iron Fist , The Defenders , and The Punisher . Needless to say, fans were equally excited and surprised. For one, it’s exciting to have all of these characters under the same streaming umbrella—even if their general MCU canonicity is still up for debate. However, all of them have some pretty mature content in them. ADVERTISEMENT There’s the extreme violence found in Daredevil and Punisher , PTSD from rape in Jessica Jones , and the spotlighted racial issues in Luke Cage . All of these are subject matters which are hard to see living on a Disney service. One of the biggest stars of those shows, Charlie Cox, who played Matt Murdock, has now voiced his opinion of if he thinks his character can work in a more PG-friendly setting ...

Mark Ruffalo Teases a New Side of Hulk In Disney+'s She-Hulk

Image
Due to  Black Widow and then Hawkeye on Disney+, at this point in the MCU, every original Avenger star has received their own project with only one exception: the Hulk's Mark Ruffalo. On the heels of 2008's Iron Man , Marvel Studios released The Incredible Hulk ; however, in that origin film, Bruce Banner was played by Edward Norton, not Ruffalo. While a future Hulk film starring Mark Ruffalo is highly unlikely, it sounds like the actor will get considerable screentime in Marvel's upcoming She-Hulk series for Disney+. Starring Tatiana Maslany as lawyer Jennifer Walters and Bruce Banner's cousin, She-Hulk will be a half-hour legal comedy where Walters copes with "going green" and her career.  ADVERTISEMENT In addition to Maslany, the series stars Tim Roth as Abomination, Jameela Jamil as Titania, and naturally, Mark Ruffalo as Doctor Banner or Professor Hulk. Fans knew the Avenger would have a presence in the show, especiall...

Jackson's Nick Fury and Ben Mendelsohn's Talos back together, the MCU is about to take its storytelling up a notch. Much of the plot for Secret Invasion is still being kept under wraps, even though it features a team of A-list actors and characters coming together to bring the event to Disney+. From looks at Emilia Clarke looking suspicious to Nick Fury ordering a bite to eat, even shots of these characters going about their daily lives are enough to ramp up the hype train. ADVERTISEMENT When Secret Invasion  premieres sometime in the foreseeable future, fans will also be on the lookout for the MCU's next round of East...

23 MCU Easter Eggs Spotted at Disney's Avengers Campus (Photos)

Theaters, comic book shops, and the interwebs are no longer the only places where Marvel fans can assemble. Avengers Campus - an immersive, MCU-themed land - opened at the Disney California Adventure park at Anaheim's Disneyland Resort in June, offering a whole new way for fans to enjoy the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the real world. Here guests can sling webs with Spider-Man, eat giant and mini-sized food at the Ant-Man-inspired Pym Test Kitchen, help the Guardians of the Galaxy escape The Tivan Collection, and even interact with Doctor Strange at the ancient Sanctum Sanctorum. ADVERTISEMENT This particular Marvel project is especially unique in that the land continues to evolve with the MCU.
