The MCU is about to break the Multiverse wide open with the upcoming release of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness , bringing in characters from all across Marvel history. Rumors have pointed to dozens of potential heroes and villains coming into play - everybody from Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool to a new version of Wolverine, and that's just the start. One major theme for the movie causing mass excitement across the fandom is the possibility that Marvel Studios will finally introduce a version of the X-Men, even if it's through Variants. Ms. Marvel  is set to feature the MCU debut of Iman Vellani as the titular hero, marking the newcomer's first acting role. Before being cast as Kamala Khan, it was revealed that Vellani  was part of the Next Wave Committee at the 2019 Toronto Film Festival  "which was tasked with adding a special tag to films"  that  "would resonate with their peers,"  meaning that the actress is already making an effort to  "help diversify the industry." A good part of Ms. Marvel 's promotional push was mainly focused on Vellani's love for the Marvel universe, with its first teaser actually showing the actress' reaction to being cast for the role. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is filled with new and exciting characters, including an MCU newcomer in America Chavez. The upcoming MCU sequel marks the live-action debut of the character, and she will be portrayed by Xochitl Gomez. Before the character’s appearance in Multiverse of Madness , Chavez had a long history in the pages of Marvel Comics. The Marvel hero was created by Joe Casey and Nick Dragotta, and she first made an appearance in 2011's Vengeance . After that, Chavez went on to appear alongside other heroes in 2013's Young Avengers and 2015's Ultimates . In mid-February, Netflix announced that it would be losing the streaming rights to all of its Marvel shows by the end of the month. This would include its original slate of series, which made up an entire Marvel era in and of themselves.  Daredevil ,  Jessica Jones ,  Luke Cage , and  Iron Fist  will all be finding a new home. The only problem is: nobody knows where that'll be. One of the biggest roadblocks that keep them from making a simple switch over to Disney+ is the content held within. The Netflix shows were always meant to be for a mature audience; it's part of what separated them from the other MCU projects, aside from being television series. When Disney's acquisition of Fox was made official nearly three years ago, Marvel Studios came into possession of some of Marvel's most iconic characters. This included the Fantastic Four, the X-Men, and everyone's favorite merc with a mouth Deadpool. While fans eagerly await the arrival of the MCU mutants and Fantastic Four, Deadpool sits as a somewhat big question mark for the franchise.  While these other names will likely be recast and get a brand new story,  Deadpool   3  is in pre-production with the team that was behind the first two films under the Fox banner.
