Spider-Man: No Way Home may have cracked open the Marvel Multiverse; but in this reality, Andrew Garfield has been at the center due to his roles in The Eyes of Tammy Faye , Tick, Tick... Boom! , and, of course,  Spider-Man: No Way Home . While Marvel Cinematic Universe projects have become extremely commonplace in recent years, it takes years before those seeds start to sprout. Before a Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness hits theaters or a Moon Knight begins streaming on Disney+, they go through an extensive production and marketing process. Before that, they get a title card and a release date at a “phase” announcement. And that's just what fans see. As Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures reap incredible rewards from Spider-Man: No Way Home 's run at the box office, Sony continues working diligently to build its own universe of Spider-Man characters. While the first two Venom movies became somewhat successful, financially more than critically, things have not gone so well for the studio in recent times. Sony is currently reeling from the disappointing reception to Jared Leto's Morbius , which was widely panned by critics and turned in one of the lowest opening weekend box office totals in more than a decade. However, even that level of negativity isn't stopping Sony from trying to build up more characters through spin-off solo films. When it comes to the MCU on Disney+, Marvel Studios never does the same thing twice. Beginning with WandaVision at the start of 2021 and ending with Hawkeye , Marvel fans were treated to five unique and distinct limited series in terms of style, genre, and tone but each with their own contributing narrative to the greater MCU. That trend looks to continue as Marvel Studios kicks off its second year on Disney+ with Moon Knight  starring Oscar Isaac.  In the series, Oscar Isaac plays Marc Spector, who struggles with a dissociative identity disorder. His different identities come into play as he becomes involved in a mystery involving Egyptian Gods. Marvel's Defenders Move to Disney+ A press release from Disney+ Canada, via Twitter user  Shahbaz - The Movie Podcast , officially confirmed the release date of Netflix's Marvel shows on the streaming service.  The announcement revealed that Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, The Punisher, and The Defenders will start streaming on Disney+ Canada on March 16, 2022.
