Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness  is just weeks away, and much of the movie-going world waits with bated breath for the Multiversal sequel. The  Doctor Strange  follow-up has been six years in the making with comic book movie vet Sam Raimi sitting in the director's chair. Raimi was not always the man behind the Benedict Cumberbatch-starring MCU epic, but after Scott Derrickson left the project, Raimi took over directing duties. Spider-Man: No Way Home  arguably had the most anticipation-fueled build-up to release in movie history. In large part, that came down to the promises of a Multiversal event with rumors of returning fan favorites, but the Far From Home 's dramatic cliffhanger   in which Mysterio revealed Peter Parker's identity to the world was also a major factor. After Tom Holland's Peter Parker was able to overcome Mysterio's illusions with the help of his Peter-tingle, Jake Gyllenhaal's villain threw one last twist into the mix as he outed Spider-Man's identity and accused him of murder. Director/writer/actor Taika Waititi is back with Marvel Studios for his second full theatrical movie, which will arrive this July with Chris Hemsworth's Thor: Love and Thunder . The Oscar-winning director is only a few months away from delivering his latest pet project, as Hemsworth takes the God of Thunder on another wild adventure throughout the galaxy. Waititi is well-known for his unique style of filmmaking and storytelling, which fans saw throughout 2017's Thor: Ragnarok as Thor, the Hulk, and more took on Hela and Asgard's demise.
