Bringing a character with decades of comic history from page to screen is no easy task, but fortunately, Marvel Studios has proven rather consistently successful over the years. Fans are now just over a month out from finally seeing  Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness . Disney recently acquired the streaming rights to all the Marvel shows that were produced by Netflix, including Daredevil , The  Punisher , and The Defenders . All these projects were much more mature than the typical MCU flick, so Disney+ introduced new TV-MA restrictions that can allow Marvel to continue to stream mature content on the streaming service without having to worry about their younger fan base stumbling across any of it.  This presents a great advantage for Marvel Studios as it begins to push the PG-13 boundary in projects like Eternals and Moon Knight . It may even allow Marvel to produce projects they otherwise wouldn’t consider, like another season of Daredevil that matches the dark tone of the previous seasons or a raunchy Deadpool  spin-off show.  ADVERTISEMENT With that in mind, The Direct has compiled a list of 6 Marvel characters that need the R-rated treatment now that the MCU has this new Disney+ avenue for producing content.  1....

Marvel Studios is about to kick-start its 2022 theatrical run with Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness , arriving in theaters in early May. The film features Marvel's master magician alongside Elizabeth Olsen's Scarlet Witch, this sequel has no limits to how far it can go with expanding the MCU's story.
