Marvel Celebrates New Year’s With Doctor Strange: Multiverse of Madness Tease
Not only is Spider-Man: No Way Home one of the biggest movies of all time, but it sets the stage for another adventure that fans are dying to see: Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. While Peter Parker’s experience with Multiversal heroes and villains introduced the world to the complicated ideas of alternate universes, Benedict Cumberbatch’s next outing as the good Doctor promises to dive even deeper.
The film will also serve as a continuation of sorts to Marvel Studios’ first Disney+ show, WandaVision. Audiences will get to reacquaint themselves with Elizabeth Olsen’s Wanda Maximoff, whose incident in Westview left a very powerful book of magic known as the Darkhold in her hands.

If the Doctor Strange sequel's first trailer is any indication, it may not be the best influence for the grieving former Avenger.
Also part of the cast is newcomer Xochiti Gomez’s America Chavez. Not much is known about how her character will play into the proceedings, but it's always great to see fresh blood in the MCU.
With 2022 right around the corner, Marvel has taken to Twitter to celebrate the New Year, while also teasing their next movie event.

Celebrating the New Year Madness
On Marvel UK's Instagram page, the company celebrated the new year with a fun new graphic teasing the upcoming Benedict Cumberbatch film Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
The graphic starts with the original Doctor Strange title card font before taking a whole new shape.
A portal engulfs 2021, and on the other side is 2022, now in fancy Multiverse of Madness red font.

The Multiverse of Madness Approaches
There isn't much to take away from Marvel’s post regarding plot or behind-the-scenes information, but it is a fun way to welcome 2022 into existence.

It will be hard to go bigger than Spider-Man: No Way Home, but with everything Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is tackling, it certainly has a chance to do just that. People got a kick out of returning faces such as Willem Dafoe’s Green Goblin and Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Man, so if rumors are to be believed, the film may be playing on that same nostalgia power.
Whispers have gone around saying that fans might end up seeing some former Fox Marvel characters onscreen once again—for real this time, not a Ralph Boner reverse card. This project could even be the first time a proper mutant is seen in the MCU.
Not only that, but maybe fans will see fun variants of characters appear. This could include people like Hydra Steve Rogers or another Tony Stark—after all, there’s already a dark Stephen Strange seen in the trailer.

The world will have to wait and find out on May 6, 2022.
