Marvel Reveals Stunning New Look at Elizabeth Olsen's Doctor Strange 2 Costume
After four new blockbuster movies from the MCU in 2021, Marvel Studios is set to kick off 2022 with arguably one of its biggest solo outings to date in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. As Benedict Cumberbatch's master magician joins forces with Elizabeth Olsen's Wanda Maximoff, the two will have to face some of the most dangerous challenges in Phase 4's narrative to date.
Although Cumberbatch's Doctor Strange will take the brunt of the work in his second MCU solo movie, this full dip into the Multiverse will also see Olsen's Scarlet Witch exploring her exponentially increased power set. Wanda's full evolution into her powerful alter-ego in WandaVision set the stage for new levels of intense magic, which was only teased minimally in the film's first teaser from the end of Spider-Man: No Way Home.

Wanda's powers may be a more crucial element of her story in the Doctor Strange sequel, but they also come with the new killer threads she manifested in Episode 9 of WandaVision on Disney+.
While fans have gotten teases of some changes to this outfit, a new image provides the best look yet at the scarlet red ensemble.

This image shows the Scarlet Witch in the new costume that she made for herself in the final episode of WandaVision, which looks almost identical to how it did upon its March 2021 debut. The biggest difference in the Doctor Strange sequel comes with the sleeves running down Wanda's arms as she floats in front of a rune with her red hair flowing.
Marvel Unleashing the Full Scarlet Witch
Fans have seen a number of images showcasing the Scarlet Witch's costume since it first came to life on Disney+, which will see some upgrades in the Doctor Strange sequel as Wanda's powers evolve. This image puts those changes into the spotlight, particularly with more darkness manifesting in Wanda's outfit and her character alike.

It's unclear at the moment what leads Olsen's character to add full-arm sleeves to her new superhero suit, which is the only truly noticeable difference from how it first arrived in 2021. Multiverse of Madness' first trailer also showed that Wanda's fingers have now blackened, which looks similar to Agatha Harkness' in WandaVision, although they look fairly normal here as Wanda uses her magic.
The MCU's first movie of 2022 is likely to give Wanda a wild personal journey with multiple changes to her costume as she helps Doctor Strange fix the incoming Multiversal problems. Whether this keeps her on a hero's journey is still in question, but whatever those answers are, the MCU is in for quite the thrill ride in Olsen's next appearance with Marvel.
Doctor Strange In the Multiverse of Madness will arrive in theaters on May 6, 2022.
