Sony Reveals Updated Runtime Total

Spider-Man: No Way Home has migrated to digital media, but the conversation about 2021's biggest film is still going strong. Tom Holland's third outing as Peter Parker received shine at this year's Academy Awards, earning a nomination for Best Visual Effects and receiving recognition among the #OscarsCheerMoment and #OscarsFanFavorite fan-voted accolades.

Holland's future, as well as that of fellow Spider-Men Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire, remains unknown. The Uncharted star is expected to suit up for another trilogy in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but the pen has yet to be put to paper. While Garfield and Maguire don't have as clear of a return avenue, fan campaigns to #MakeTASM3 and rumors about a Sam Raimi reunion have both actors' options open.

Regardless of what the future holds, Sony Pictures is reminding fans they have enough Spider-Man content to last from dusk until dawn.

Fans can hypothetically enjoy all of Peter 1, Peter 2, and Peter 3's stories in one day.

Sony Pictures UK has updated their Spider-Man binge-watch tweet, noting that the addition of Spider-Man: No Way Home has increased the character's total film runtime to "19 hours and 58 minutes." This includes all three of Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man films, Andrew Garfield's pair of The Amazing Spider-Man movies, the animated Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, and Tom Holland's MCU trilogy.

Sony's watch order for the films goes chronologically, beginning with 2002's Spider-Man and concluding with 2021's Spider-Man: No Way Home.

  1. Spider-Man 2 hours, 1 minute
  2. Spider-Man 2 2 hours, 7 minutes
  3. Spider-Man 3 2 hours, 19 minutes
  4. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 hours, 16 minutes
  5. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 2 hours, 22 minutes
  6. Spider-Man: Homecoming 2 hours, 13 minutes
  7. Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse 1 hour, 56 minutes
  8. Spider-Man: Far From Home 2 hours, 10 minutes
  9. Spider-Man: No Way Home 2 hours, 28 minutes

Spider-Man Marathon

Even though Holland is taking a break from the superhero life for a minute, Spider-Man content refuses to slow down in the new year. The aforementioned Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse gets its long-awaited sequel this fall in the form of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (Part One). The animated ensemble has no clear connection to the live-action Peter Parker films, but Sony's binge-watch tweet suggests otherwise.

Spider-Verse producers Phil Lord and Christopher Miller initially wanted a post-credits scene featuring Spider-Ham, Holland, Garfield, and Maguire in 2018, but were told it was "too soon." With the moment realized first in live action three years later, Lord and Miller have teased a 2D replication in October's sequel, noting how "all things are possible in the multiverse."

Whatever comes next for the multiple generations of the Spider-Man character is anyone's guess. For now, Sony's next step in this web of comic-based projects is Morbius, which hits theaters this Friday. Fellow Spider-Man spin-off films like Kraven the Hunter and Madame Web are also in early production stages.

If nearly 20 collective hours wasn't enough, Spidey fans have plenty to look forward to.

Spider-Man: No Way Home is available on digital media now.
